Srinagar, January 25 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, India is depriving Kashmiri students of their right to education even the world observed International Day of Education, the other day.

An analytical report released by Kashmir Media Service, over 7 decades of Indian illegal occupation has created education paralysis in IIOJK. The inhuman military siege imposed by New Delhi since Aug 5, 2019 has further deepened education crisis. The report pointed out that schools, first, remained closed for months together due to the unprecedented military siege and secondly parents were hesitant to send their children to schools for fear of being picked up by occupations troops, affecting students’ education in the territory. »

Srinagar, January 25 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the entire Kashmir valley has been converted into a military garrison after curfew-like restrictions have been imposed in the name of security on the eve of India’s Republic Day, tomorrow.

People are forced to stop at check-posts, mushroomed in every nook and corner of the territory, and subjected to vigorous frisking and checking. Forces have been deployed in massive numbers around the venues of the January 26 functions across the Valley. »

Srinagar, January 25 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Tehreek-e-Hurriyet Jammu and Kashmir has expressed serious concern over the deteriorating health of party Chairman Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai and other detained party leaders and activists.

Srinagar, January 25 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, senior Hurriyat leader and the President of Anjuman Sharie Shian, Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi has said that celebrating democracy by violating the democratic rights of others is against the spirit of democracy.

Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Kashmiris had been celebrating Republic Day of India as a Black Day from the very beginning as India had deprived them of all their basic rights. »

Srinagar, January 25 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian police have attached the property of a Kashmiri youth after labeling as Over Ground Worker (OGW) of mujahideen in Zantrag Khrew area of South Kashmir.

A formal case has been registered against the youth at Khrew Police Station.

A police official told media that immovable property comprised a house belonging to the youth has been attached. »

Srinagar, January 25 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders and organizations have paid glowing tributes to the victims of January massacres and other martyrs.

The All Parties Hurriyat Conference spokesman while paying tributes to the martyrs of Handwara on their 31st anniversary in a statement issued in Srinagar, today, said that on this day Indian occupational forces showered bullets indiscriminately on participants of a peaceful procession who were raising slogans in favour of their right to self-determination.

The APHC spokesman lauded people of Handwara for observing shutdown to commemorate the precious sacrifices given by the martyrs despite the repressive measures taken by the occupation forces. He reiterated the people’s pledge to take the ongoing freedom struggle to its logical conclusion. »

Srinagar, January 25 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Indian Army Captain involved in the fake encounter in Shopian district last July had attempted to destroy the evidence, the police charge sheet filed in the case says.

Captain Bhoopendra Singh had also provided wrong information to the police about the recovery made during the staged encounter, the charge sheet filed by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Jammu and Kashmir Police before the chief judicial magistrate, Shopian, said. »

APHC, Mirwaiz forum & others call for shutdown in IIOJK

Srinagar, January 25 (KMS): Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control and the world over will observe India’s Republic Day, the 26th January, as Black Day, tomorrow, to impress upon the world to take notice of India’s continued denial of right to self-determination to the Kashmiri people.

According to Kashmir Media Service, call for the observance of the Black Day was given by the All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Mirwaiz-led Hurriyat forum and other Hurriyat organizations.

The day will be marked by a complete strike in occupied Kashmir and anti-India demonstrations and rallies in Azad Kashmir, Pakistan and world capitals to give a strong message to the world that India being usurper of Kashmiris’ fundamental rights has no right to observe the day in the occupied territory. »

Srinagar, January 25 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, incarcerated senior resistance leader, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has said that Indian forces are continuously pursuing policy of repression and suppression against the Kashmiri people.

Mirwaiz in a statement issued in Srinagar said, innocent civilians are harassed and arrested on fake charges while the plight of Kashmiri detainees in Indian jails is pathetic and needs immediate attention.

Mirwaiz while drawing the attention of international community towards serious violations in IIOJK said that Kashmiris will observe 26 January as Black Day, the statement added. »

Islamabad, January 25 (KMS): Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that Hindutva ideology of the Indian government has tarnished the identity of secular India due to its wrong policies.

He was talking to Chairman Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir Shehryar Khan Afridi, who called on him in Islamabad on Monday.

Issues of mutual interest including serious human rights violations in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir were discussed during the meeting. »
