Jammu, January 29 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, a TADA court in Jammu framed charges against the illegally detained Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik and other Hurriyat leaders in three-decades-old false cases against them.

The TADA court conducted hearing in Rubiya Saeed abduction case, today. The JKLF Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik, attended the hearing via video link from New Delhi’s Tihar Jail.

Other Hurriyat leaders including Javaid Ahmed Mir, Showkat Ahmed Bakhshi, Saleem Nanaji , Javaid Ahmed Zargar, Manzoor Ahmed Sofi, Muhammad Iqbal Gandroo, Engineer Ali Muhammad Mir, Muhammad Zaman Mir, Mehraj-ud-Din Sheikh and Wajahat Bashir Qureshi were present during the court hearing. Another Hurriyat leader, Mushtaq Ajmal, also appeared in a separate case that was also scheduled for today in the same court. »

Srinagar, January 29 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred three Kashmiri youth in Tral area of Pulwama district, today.

The troops martyred the youth during a cordon and search operation in Mandoora area of Tral. The operation was going on when last reports came in. The troops also continued their cordon and search operations in Shopian, Pulwama, Baramulla, Rajouri and other areas of the territory, subjecting the local residents to huge inconvenience. Indian police arrested a youth from a check-post in Patushahi area of Bandipora.

Srinagar, January 29 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference, Shabbir Ahmed Dar has welcomed the stance taken by the US Ambassador to United Nations, Linda Thomas-Greenfield during her confirmation process before the Senate committee.

Shabbir Ahmed Dar in a statement issued in Srinagar said, Linda Thomas has explicitly made it clear that the permanent membership of India in the Security Council is a matter of continuous discussion and no decision can be taken in haste. »

UN chief urges India, Pakistan to come together to resolve Kashmir disputeUnited Nations, January 29 (KMS): UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has called upon nuclear-armed India and Pakistan to “come together and seriously discuss their problems” stemming from the unresolved Kashmir dispute, saying his good offices are always available for mediation.

Riyadh, January 29 (KMS): Members of Kashmiri Diaspora held a condolence reference in Riyadh, today, to pay tributes to Saudi Arabia-based Kashmiri scholar, Abdul Majeed Butt, who passed away in September, last year.

Noted Kashmiri businessmen based in Saudi Arabia, Raja Pervaiz and Bashir Ahmad Butt, addressing on the occasion said that Abdul Majeed Butt was a very close friend of theirs and they knew him for the past more than 25 years.

A well known Islamic scholar Mohammed Abdullah Dar maintained that the deceased was a learned scholar and had a very deep understanding of the religion. »

APHC vows to continue freedom struggle despite ongoing crackdown - Pakistan Observer

Srinagar, January 29 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Political Movement (DPM), has said that India is killing and torturing innocent youth in the territory and using all brutal tactics to suppress the Kashmir liberation movement.

The DPM Chairman, Khawaja Firdous in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the Indian Army was arresting innocent youth during so-called cordon and search operations on daily basis.

He said, when the people peacefully protest against the cruel actions of Modi-led fascist government, they are subjected to brute force by the occupational troops. He added that India will never succeed in suppressing the Kashmiris’ ongoing liberation movement and they will continue their struggle till complete success. »
