Appeals IIOJK people to observe complete shutdown on Feb 9, 11

Srinagar, Feb 06 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Harriyat Conference (APHC) held a high-level meeting of its Majlis-e-Shoora with Working Vice Chairman, Ghulam Ahamad Gulzar in chair.

The meeting deliberated on the current political situation and expressed its grave concern over the prevailing atmosphere of oppression and suppression perpetrated by the Indian forces.

The meeting, unanimously thanked Pakistan and its great people for their legitimate and sincere support to the Kashmiris’ just struggle for right to self-determination. »

Indian police arrest five innocent Kashmiri youth

Srinagar, February 06 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference and other Hurriyat leaders have appreciated the statement of Pakistan Prime Minister, Imran Khan, in which he reminded the international community to fulfill its promise of organizing plebiscite in Jammu and Kashmir to give the Kashmiris an opportunity to decide their fate by themselves in the light of UN resolutions.

The All Parties Hurriyat Conference in a statement in Srinagar maintained that Prime Minister, Imran Khan, since assuming his office has been stressing settlement of the Kashmir dispute for ensuring permanent peace in the region. It said that India should respond positively to the statement of the Pakistan Prime Minister and come forward to settle the long-pending dispute according to the will of the Kashmiri people. Other Hurriyat leaders including Khawaja Fordous and Jahangir Ghani Butt in their statements thanked the government and people of Pakistan for continuously supporting the Kashmiris’ struggle for freedom from Indian occupation. They said the observance of the Kashmir Solidarity Day by Pakistan, yesterday, sent a message to India that Kashmiris are not alone but 22 crore Pakistanis are behind them. »

Srinagar, February 06 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, a soldier of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) was injured in an attack in Srinagar, today.

The soldier was injured when unidentified gunmen fired upon a CRPF party at Chanapora in Nowgam area of the district. He was shifted to hospital for treatment.

Soon after the incident Indian troops and police personnel cordoned off the entire area and launched searches to nab the attackers.

New York, February 06 (KMS): The New York has become the first state in the US to proclaim February 5 as “Kashmir Day”.

This significant development came when Pakistani and Kashmiri communities across the US observed Kashmir Solidarity Day, voicing full support to the just struggle of Kashmiri people for UN-promised right to self-determination.

The New York State Assembly marked February 5 as “Kashmir Day” by adopting a resolution by a voice vote, after years of efforts by the American-Pakistani Advocacy Group (APAG). »

Islamabad, February 06 (KMS): Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir will succeed to get their just right to self-determination and no power can suppress their freedom movement.

In a media interview in Islamabad, he said, the Kashmir dispute has vigorously been highlighted before the world community. He added that the international community was fully aware of the atrocities being perpetrated on the innocent people of IIOJK by the Indian troops.

The Prime Minister said that India tried hard to isolate Pakistan but it badly failed to do so.

Islamabad, February 06 (KMS): Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that India should be forced to rescind its illegal and unilateral actions in illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and move towards a peaceful settlement of the Kashmir dispute as per the UNSC resolutions.

He was addressing the ambassadorial meeting of the OIC Contact Group on Jammu and Kashmir via video link.

The Foreign Minister commended the brotherly nations of Azerbaijan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Niger for effectively articulating the voice of the Ummah in solidarity with the oppressed people of Jammu and Kashmir. »

Srinagar, February 06 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, senior Hurriyat leader, Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori, has reiterated his demand for handing over the mortal remains of prominent Kashmiri liberation leaders Shaheed Muhammad Maqbool Butt and Shaheed Muhammad Afzal Guru.

India had hanged Muhammad Maqbool Butt on the 11th February in 1984 in Tihar Jail and sent Muhammad Afzal Guru to the gallows in the same jail on February 9 in 2013 for their role in the ongoing Kashmir freedom movement. Their bodies remain buried in the premises of the jail. »
