Jammu, February 16 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir People’s Association (JKPA) has termed the proposed visit of European Union’s delegation as an attempt by desperate New Delhi to mislead world community regarding the grim situation of the territory.
The JKPA Chairman Aquib Wani, in a statement issued in Jammu said, “Handpicked and sponsored delegation of members belonging to a particular political thought serves no purpose and world is aware of the atrocities being unleashed against oppressed Kashmiris who are treated like slaves with no human, political rights and civic liberties.”
Aquib Wani further said that “It’s a desperate attempt of New Delhi to portray normalcy in Kashmir by inviting European delegations but irony is that even the movement of pro-India politicians remains restricted, resistance leadership representing genuine political aspirations of Kashmiri people continues to languish in jails for no reason and fake encounters, custodial killings, crime against women by troops and oppression have become a routine matter in the occupied territory.”
Aquib Wani also said that earlier on visit of EU delegation, its members complained of not being allowed to talk to common people, exam timing of students was changed to portray normalcy but New Delhi failed in its evil plans.
The JKPA also supported the shutdown call on the visit of EU delegation and said that Kashmiris will never accepted the decision of August 5, 2019 and bringing of such delegations won’t change the reality of Kashmir.
