Srinagar, February 17 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, complete strike was observed, today, to register protest against the visit of a selected European parliamentary group completely controlled by Modi-led fascist Indian government to mislead the international community about the ground situation of the territory.

Call for the strike was given by the All Parties Hurriyat Conference and supported by all pro-freedom leaders and organizations. All shops and other business establishments were closed while traffic was off the roads. In major crackdown operations against Hurriyat leaders and activists, Indian police seized at least 72 movable and immovable properties, including a house belonging to Dukhtaran-e-Millat Chairperson, Aasiya Andrabi’s mother-in-law and a vehicle of her associate, Fehmeeda Sofi. »

Bunkers removed in Srinagar ahead of foreign diplomats’ visit

Srinagar, February 17 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, in a bid to show that everything is normal in the territory, the occupation authorities removed many bunkers from various parts of Srinagar city ahead of the visit of European diplomats, today.

Officials said that at least five bunkers were removed from Srinagar areas of which two were lifted from Lal Chowk. »

Jammu and Kashmir Anjuman Sharie Shian President Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi in a statement issued in Srinagar said that in the wake of immense sufferings, the visit of European diplomats to Kashmir is unfortunately one more eyewash and under-carpeting of the real issue. He said, “Kashmir is undergoing a worst phase of its history of violations and crackdown, the need is to acknowledge it and push for engagement for the sake of world peace and regional stability.” »

Srinagar, February 17 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the District Development Council (DDC) members, who were scheduled to meet the visiting European diplomats, today, at Magam in Badgam, were put under detention and were not allowed to move outside.

DDC Vice Chairperson Nazir Ahmad Jahra said that six National Conference DDC members have been put under detention at Shoray-e-Afaq while one has been kept at a local hotel. »

House of Aasiya’s in-laws among 72 properties, vehicles seized

Jammu, February 17 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, in a major crackdown against Hurriyat leaders and activists, Indian police have seized at least 72 movable and immovable properties, including a house belonging to Dukhtaran-e-Millat Chairperson, Aasiya Andrabi’s mother in law and a vehicle of her associate, Fehmeeda Sofi.

A police spokesperson said that the police headquarters had accorded permission in 46 cases for seizure and attachment of various moveable and immovable assets of individuals or associations.

He said that following the due procedures of the law, police had in last couple of years or so accorded sanction for seizure and attachments of four wheelers, motorcycles, cash, land houses and shops through different orders. “The permission for seizure has been granted under section 25 Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act 1967,” he said. »
