Srinagar, 22 February (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, APHC leader and Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Social Peace Forum Advocate Devinder Singh Behl has urged India and Pakistan to hold talks to resolve the long-pending Kashmir dispute in the interest of peace in South Asia.

Advocate Devinder Singh Behl while addressing a function during public awareness campaign in Nowshera area of Jammu also called for creating an environment conducive for resolving the Kashmir dispute between the two neighboring countries as per relevant UN resolutions and aspirations of Kashmiri people. He also expressed grave concern over the large-scale illegal arrests by Indian troops in occupied Jammu and Kashmir. »

Srinagar, February 22 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has reiterated its appeal to the people of Jammu and Kashmir asking them to observe complete shutdown on the proposed visit of Narendra Modi, the fascist and killer Prime Minister of India.

The APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the black day would be observed while black flags be displayed in every nook and corner of the territory as a mark of strong protest against the visit. »

The posters installed on poles and streets in Srinagar read that Narendra Modi is a killer of Kashmiri people and has evil designs against them.

The posters displayed by the All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Jammu and Kashmir Students League, Jammu and Kashmir Young Mens League, Hurriyat Youth Forum Jammu and Kashmir and Jammu and Kashmir Justice Youth League also called upon the people to observe complete shutdown on the Modi’s proposed visit because he is a terrorist and is involved in genocide of the Kahsmiri people. People were asked to hoist black flags on their houses during his visit. »

In a letter addressed to the Government of India on December 22, 2020, the rapporteurs have noted that the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) authorises warrantless searches and individual arrests for up to 6 months when the person is designated as ‘terrorist’. Srinagar, 22 February (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, senior Hurriyat leader Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori has expressed grave concern over the plight of Kashmiris, detained in various jails in Kashmir and India.

Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the hundreds of Kashmiri political prisoners are currently languishing in Tihar, Kathua, Udhampur, KotBhalwal, Samba, Haryana, Jodhpur and other jails. He lamented the silence of international human rights organizations over the plight of the detainees and said that these people have been imprisoned in false cases under notorious black laws for the past many years. »
