Srinagar, March 01 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Society Forum (JKCSF) has demanded an end to illegal house detention of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq ahead of revered religious festival, Merajunnabi.

The JKCSF Chairman, Abdul Qayoom Wani in a statement issued in Srinagar urged the authorities to release the top religious leader before the commencement of Merajunnabi. »

Srinagar, March 01 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Harriyat Conference, working vice Chairman Ghulam Ahmad Gulzar, today, visited the ailing Chairman of Tehreek-e-Istiqlal, Ghulam Nabi Waseem, who has been admitted in Soura Institute of Medical Sciences, Srinagar.

Ghulam Nabi Waseem is suffering from some cardiac problem and is undergoing treatment in the hospital.

G A Gulzar, also visited the residence of APHC ailing leader, Hakeem Abdul Rashid, who has been advised to take bed rest because of his acute disc problem. Gulzar asked the welfare of both the ailing leaders and prayed for their health recovery. »

Srinagar, March 01(KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, local Muslims in Kunzar area of Baramulla district performed the last rites of a Kashmiri Pandit woman.

Rani Kaul, wife of Moti Lal Kaul, passed away on Saturday, however, her last rites had to be delayed by a day as her relatives had to travel all the way from Delhi for the funeral.

On Sunday, the local Muslims took part in her funeral and helped with performing the last rites of the deceased as the Kaul’s is the only Pandit house in Tarhama locality of around 600 Muslims. »

Srinagar, March 01 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Youth Social Forum (JKYSF) has condemned India for using military might to suppress the Kashmiris’ freedom movement.

JKYSF leader, Zubair Ahmad in a statement issued in Srinagar expressed serious concern over the continued cordon and search operations, killings and arrests in the territory and urged the world human rights bodies to take notice of the grim rights situation in IIOJK.

Zubair further said that the exercise of right to self-determination by the people of Kashmir will bring peace and political stability in the region. »

Srinagar, March 01(KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Tehreek-e-Wahdat-e-Islami has appreciated the recent statement of Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan regarding Kashmir and termed it as true representative of Kashmiriis’ aspirations.

In a tweet, Prime Minister Imran Khan welcomed the ceasefire along the Line of Control, saying “India has a responsibility to further improve the environment and give Kashmiris their right to self-determination in accordance with UN resolutions.”

In a statement issued in Srinagar, the spokesman for Tehreek-e-Wahdat-e-Islami said that the Prime Minister Khan in his tweet has truly expressed the sentiments of Kashmiris who have made unprecedented sacrifices for their birthright, right to self-determination. He said that although the ceasefire along the LoC was a significant step, the real and fundamental issue was Kashmir, from which India had fled and that it had inflicted untold atrocities on the unarmed Kashmiris. »

Srinagar, March 01 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Mass Movement has said that India has made Kashmiris hostage by illegally occupying Jammu and Kashmir for the past 73 years.

JKMM , Information Secretary Shabbir Ahmed in a statement issued in Srinagar said, it is the responsibility of the international community to resolve the Kashmir dispute to the United Nations in accordance with the resolutions of the Security Council. »

Srinagar, March 01(KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian police on Monday arrested a Kashmiri youth during a cordon and search operation in Tral area of South Kashmir’s Awantipora.

Police along with Indian Army and Central Reserve Police Force carried out searches in Larow Jagir village in Tral.

During the search operation, a youth Muzamil Qadir Butt was arrested. »

Srinagar March 01 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Khawaja Firdous, leader of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference and Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Political Movement has welcomed the recent ceasefire announcement between Pakistan and India and said that it was time for the two neighboring countries to focus on resolving the long-running Kashmir dispute.

Khawaja Firdous in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the last seven decades have proved that whenever there is increasing pressure on India at the international level regarding the Kashmir issue, it signs a ceasefire agreement with Pakistan to pass the time. He said that Pakistan wanted lasting peace in South Asia from day one and it wanted the Kashmir issue to be resolved according to the aspirations of the Kashmiri people. »

Srinagar, March 01 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, International Forum for Justice Human Rights J&K Chairman Mohammad Ahsan Untoo has welcomed the statement of UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (UHCHR) Michelle Bachelete in which she expressed concern over the human rights abuses by Indian forces in the territory.

Untoo in a statement issued in Srinagar said, the statement is testimony to the fact that India is committing heinous crimes in occupied Jammu and Kashmir. New Delhi is denying basic fundamental rights of freedom of expression and peaceful assembly, he added. »

Srinagar, March 01 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops, in their unabated acts of state terrorism, martyred six Kashmiris during the last month of February.

According to the data issued by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service, today, of those killed three youth were martyred in a fake encounter.

Sixty-three youth were arrested and as many as five people were injured after Indian police used brute force on peaceful protesters. The forces destroyed and damaged two houses during the month. »
