850 Kashmiris martyred in 2018-20 in IIOJK

Srinagar, March 10 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian troops and police arrested over three dozen youth during cordon and search operations in different areas of the territory.

Two dozen youth were arrested by Indian police during house raids in Srinagar. Fifteen among them have been booked under black law Public Safety Act. Seven youth were arrested in Tral and Awantipora areas of Pulwama district. The locals told media that Indian troops have created an atmosphere of fear and terror in the entire Kashmir valley since a protest demonstration was held in Nawhatta area of Srinagar on Friday. They complained that frequent raids and search operations have made daily life a hell in the territory. »

New Delhi, March 10 (KMS): Embarrassment to India under Narendra Modi-led fascist government has refused to die down while in the latest such incident the United Kingdom held a detailed debate on the controversial farm laws and press freedom in India.

During the debate, serious concerns were raised by several MPs of the Labour party, Liberal democrats and the Scottish National Party over Indian government’s reaction to the protests. The debate was a response to a petition initiated by Maidenhead Liberal Democrat leader Gurch Singh of Indian origin. The petition received signatures from over one lac UK residents within weeks. Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn said, “The unprecedented protests should make one think about why so many are turning up. The arrest of journalists is a matter of serious concern.” »

Srinagar, March 10 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference Chairman, Shabbir Ahmed Dar, has welcomed the collective decision of Gilgit-Baltistan lawmakers through a unanimously passed resolution demanding provisional provincial status to speed up development in the region.

Shabbir Ahmed Dar in a statement issued in Srinagar said the demand does not affect the disputed nature of Jammu and Kashmir. “The resolution which demands representation in Pakistani Parliament is based on the principles of justice and equality,” he said. »

Ministers suggest steps to neutralise narrative against govt

New Delhi, March 10 (KMS): The Editors Guild of India (EGI) has expressed “shock and disbelief” at the recent report of a group of ministers (GoM) suggesting steps to “neutralise” the negative narrative against the government.

“The Editors Guild of India expresses shock and disbelief at the manner in which a group of ministers (GoM) has prepared a report with an embedded toolkit to control the narrative about the government in the media. This GoM, comprising five cabinet and four ministers of state, had been constituted by the government in mid-2020, without any provocation and at a time when various press freedom and democracy indices show a rapid slide,” the EGI said in a statement. »

IRF jawan kills wife, mother-in-law, father-in-law in Jammu | newsgloryJammu, March 10 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, an Indian policeman killed his wife, mother in-law and father in-law and injured two others in Jammu district.

Indian Reserve Police (IRP) man Rajinder Kumar killed  his wife Seema Kumari, father in-law Ramesh Kumar, and mother in-law Raj Kumari, and critically injured two other family members by opening fire at them in Phallian Mandal area of the district on Tuesday late evening, officials told media men.

They said that assailant is a cop who is posted in the security wing of police. »

Srinagar, March 10 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian troops in their continued acts of state terrorism martyred 850 Kashmiris over the past three years.

According to a report released by Research Section of Kashmir Media Service, 18 women and 55 teenagers are among 850 Kashmiris, martyred by the troops from 2018 to 2020. Sixty one youth were killed in custody and fake encounters.

The KMS released the report in response to the figures presented by Indian Minister of State for Home G Kishan Reddy in Lok Sabha on Wednesday wherein he claimed that a total of 750 Kashmiris were killed between 2018 and 2020. »

Srinagar, March 10 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders Firdous Ahmed Shah and Javaid Ahmed Mir have called for settlement of the Kashmir dispute for ensuring peace in South Asia.

Firdous Ahmed Shah and Javaid Ahmed Mir said this during a visit to Maisuma area of Srinagar to offer condolences to trader leader Sajjad Gul over the death of his father-in-law, Bashir Ahmed Sheikh. »

Islamabad, March 10 (KMS): Syed Faiz Naqshbandi, Convener of AJK chapter of Mirwaiz forum, has condemned the stepped-up Indian state terrorism in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
