Srinagar, March 11 (KMS): Driven by expansionist designs, Narendra Modi-led fascist Indian government is trying to act as a spoiler of the China-led Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) by working against its goals and objectives.

A report released by Kashmir Media Service, today, maintained that the SCO is an economic and security bloc basically aimed at strengthening Eurasian brotherhood. It said that India is trying to undermine the objectives of the SCO by bringing in US agendas in the organization. New Delhi is advancing the Washington’s plan despite the fact that US request for observer status in SCO was turned down in 2005, it added. »

Srinagar, March 11 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has strongly condemned the random and illegal arrest of dozens of youth in Srinagar and slapping of black law, Public Safety Act (PSA), on many of them.

Following a protest demonstration outside historic Jamia Masjid in Nowhatta area of Srinagar on last Friday against the continued illegal house arrest of Hurriyat forum Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Indian police have arrested over two dozen youth during house raids in Srinagar. At least fifteen of them have been booked under draconian PSA. The Mirwaiz is under continued house arrest since 04 August 2019, a day before Narendra Modi-led Indian fascist government repealed the special status of IIOJK and placed it under military siege. »

Islamabad, March 11 (KMS): An academic conference titled “Prospects of lawfare on Kashmir and the strategies” was held in Islamabad, today.

The speakers of the conference organised by the Legal Forum for Oppressed Voices of Kashmir (LFOVK) on the occasion said that a legal case in favour of the Kashmiris already exists and stressed the need to fight a strong legal case against India. They pointed out that New Delhi was committing crimes against humanity in IIOJK. Kashmir is an international armed conflict and a case of illegal occupation.

The speakers expressed deep concern over the current situation in occupied Kashmir. Dr. Khalid Rehman called colonialism by India in Kashmir is denial of international law. Calling armed resistance in Kashmir legitimate and legal under international law, Dr Khalid said that where there is occupation there is resistance and right of liberation is fundamental right. »

Srinagar, March 11 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Anjuman Shari Shian President, Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi, has greeted the Muslims on the auspicious occasion of Meraaj-un-Nabi (PBUH).

Srinagar, March 11 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred two Kashmiri youth in Islamabad district, today.

The youth were martyred, today, during a cordon and search operation launched by the troops in Kandipora area of the district, yesterday. A house was also damaged in the operation. The authorities suspended internet service in Islamabad district immediately after the killing. »

Srinagar, March 11 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Acting Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League Abdul Ahad Parra has appealed to the international human rights organizations to increase pressure on India to release all Kashmiri detainees.

Abdul Ahad Parra in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Hurriyat leaders, Muhammad Yasin Malik, Shabbir Ahmed Shah, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, Masarrat Aalam Butt, Aasiya Andrabi, Ayaz Muhammad Akbar, Peer Saifullah, Altaf Ahmed Shah, Muhammad Yousuf Mir, Nayeem Ahmed Khan, Farooq Ahmed Tawheedi, Muhammad Rafiq Ganai, Shawkat Hakeem, Hayat Ahmed Butt, Merajuddin Nanda, Waheed Ahmed Gojri, Muhammad Yousuf Butt, Muhammad Yousuf Falahi, Amir Hamza, Dr Muhammad Shafi Shariati, Dr Muhammad Qasim Fakhtoo, Shahid-ul-Islam, Farooq Ahmed Dar, Ghulam Muhammad Butt, Feroz Ahmed Dar, Muhammad Iqbal Wani, Adil Zargar and others were being subjected to political vendetta. »

Srinagar, March 11 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference Chairman Shabbir Ahmed Dar, Mahaz-e-Azadi President Muhammad Iqbal Mir, International Forum for Justice and Human Rights Chairman Muhammad Ahsan Untoo, Young Mens League Chairman Imtiyaz Ahmed Reshi and Tehreeq-e-Istiqlal Chairman Ghulam Nabi Wasim have paid glowing tributes to the former President of AJK, K H Khursheed, on his 34th death anniversary.

Shabbir Ahmed Dar, Muhammad Iqbal Mir, Muhammad Ahsan Untoo, Imtiyaz Ahmed Reshi and Ghulam Nabi Wasim in a joint statement issued in Srinagar said that K H Khursheed was a legendary person with saintly qualities and had the distinction of being the private secretary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah one of the tallest leaders in history and founding father of Pakistan. »

Former CRPF official commits suicideSrinagar, March 11 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, a constable of Indian Central Reserve Force (CRPF) committed suicide in Central Kashmir’s Badgam district, today.

The CRPF constable identified as Amar Jyoti, a resident of Indian state of Kerala, ended his life by shooting himself with his service rifle inside a camp in Sheikhpora area of the district early morning today.

This incident raised the number of such deaths among Indian troops and police personnel in the occupied territory to 495 since January 2007. »

Geneva, March 11 (KMS): Kashmiri representatives while taking part in the 46th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council via video link apprised the UNHRC about the grim human rights situation in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Altaf Hussain Wani speaking on behalf of World Muslim Congress (WMC) said, “The UNSC resolutions and the promises made by India on the right to self-determination of people of disputed Jammu and Kashmir is a challenge to the international community and democratic systems. Indian state not only denied them their right but resorted to worst undemocratic, colonial and authoritarian measures. Instead of valuing the democratic norms of people, Indian state terrorism set new lows of human rights abuses, and atrocities. Killings, torture, abduction, rapes and harassment is the new normal in Kashmir.” He urged the Council to establish a commission of inquiry as recommended by the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights in its 2018 report to investigate the human rights violations in Kashmir. »

Handwara village shuts on Khwaja’s killingSrinagar, March 11 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, complete shutdown is being observed on the second consecutive day, today, in Kralgund, the native area of martyred freedom activist, Abdul Ghani Khawaja, in Handwara.

All shops and establishments are closed while transport is thin in the area.

People also staged a protest demonstration and demanded the dead body of Abdul Ghani Khawaja, who was martyred by Indian troops during a fake encounter in Tujjer Sharif area of Sopore. The Indian Army did not handover the body of the martyr to the family but buried him in a graveyard in Gantamulla area of Baramulla. Thousands of Kashmiris have been buried in the area in unmarked graves after being killed by Indian troops over the years. »
