Srinagar, March 24 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference while strongly condemning the fresh killing spree unleashed by Indian troops has called for resolving the Kashmir dispute as per relevant UN resolutions.

The APHC in a statement issued in Srinagar reiterated the pledge to continue the Kashmir liberation movement despite Indian brutalities. The statement paid glowing tributes to Shopian and other martyrs, adding that the sacrifices of the Kashmiri martyrs would not go waste. The APHC saluted the steadfastness of illegally detained Hurriyat leaders including Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, Masarrat Aalam Butt, Muhammad Yasin Malik and Shabbir Ahmad Shah, and urged the international human rights organizations to put pressure on India to release the detainees. »

Srinagar, March 24 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, senior Hurriyat leader Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori has said that Pakistan, achieved after unparalleled struggle and sacrifices, is a special gift of Allah Almighty to the Muslims of South Asia.

Khan Sopori while addressing a meeting in Baramulla said that at a time when the Hindutva menace is spreading its ugly tentacles all across India, the importance of Pakistan has increased manifold. He said that Pakistan came into being just seven years after the historic resolution of March 23, 1940 was passed, and is the only country in the world which is openly supporting the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination and providing them full political, moral and diplomatic support in the struggle for materialization of the right. »

Srinagar, March 24 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, a delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League (JKPL) visited the residence of four youth who were recently martyred by Indian troops in Shopian and expressed sympathies with their families.

The youth, Aamir Shafi Mir, Rayees Ahmed Butt, Aaqib Ahmed Malik and Altaf Ahmed Wani, were martyred by the troops during a cordon and search operation in Manihal area of Shopian. »

New York, March 24 (KMS): At the United Nations, Pakistan has reiterated that the process of its independence will remain incomplete till the people of Jammu and Kashmir exercise their right to self-determination.

Speaking at a virtual ceremony organized to mark Pakistan Day, Pakistan’s permanent Representative to the United Nations Munir Akram thanked China,Saudi Arabia, Iran,Turkey, Qatar and Sri Lanka for participation in the ceremony to express their cordial friendship and brotherhood with Pakistan. »

Srinagar, March 24 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, International Forum for Justice and Human Rights Jammu and Kashmir (IFJHRJK) has condemned the torturing of a youth by Indian police during custody at Awantipora Police Station in Pulwama.

The IFJHRJK Chairman, Muhammad Ahsan Untoo in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the Indian police had arrested the youth, Muzammil Qadir Butt, from his home in Tral area of Pulwama district, last month. He said that Muzammil was detained at Awantipora Police Station. »

Srinagar, March 24 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian troops launched cordon and search operations in several areas of the territory.

The Indian Army along with paramilitary and police personnel cordoned off Laam and Bathnoor areas of Pulwama district and launched searches.

A large number of Indian forces’ personnel has been deployed in these areas and door to door searches are going on, an eyewitness told media. »

Srinagar, March 24 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Jammu-Srinagar highway was closed for traffic following snowfall and multiple landslides in Banihal areas.

Over 300 vehicles have been stranded on both sides of the highway due to heavy snowfall, rains and multiple landslides in Jawahar Tunnel and between Banihal and Chanderkote areas, officials said. »

New Delhi, March 24 (KMS): Members of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) heckled two nuns and their novices in Uttar Pradesh’s Jhansi area on suspicion of religious conversion.

The nuns were also forced to get off a train and allowed to proceed only after an inquiry at the railway station established there was no conversion involved. »
