Srinagar, March 28 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, a series of attacks on Indian occupational forces by mujahideen post ceasefire understanding reached by Pakistan and India in February has logically proven that Kashmir resistance movement is indigenous and homegrown.

Reacting to the attacks on the Indian troops by mujahideen in Srinagar and Shopian over the past few days, political analysts and social media users in their statements and tweets said that the involvement of local Kashmiri youth in these attacks have utterly belied India’s claim that Kashmir freedom struggle is foreign sponsored. »

Srinagar, March 28 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has said that the Indian troops are killing innocent youth during siege and search operations to suppress the Kashmiris’ struggle for right to self-determination.

APHC General Secretary Molvi Bashir Ahmad in a statement issued in Srinagar deplored that Indian forces had made the life of people miserable in different areas including Shopian. He paid tributes to the youth martyred by Indian troops in Shopian and expressed solidarity with the bereaved families. He added that the best way to pay tribute to the Kashmiri martyrs was to continue their struggle its logical conclusion. »

Srinagar, March 28 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders and organizations have paid glowing tributes to prominent martyred Kashmiri lawyer and a leading human rights activist, Jalil Ahmad Andrabi on his 25th martyrdom anniversary.

Jalil Ahmad Andrabi was arrested in broad daylight by men in uniform in March 1996 and then was tortured to death in custody. »

Srinagar, March 28 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, entertainment turned into ruckus in Srinagar on Sunday late afternoon after dozens of youth came, vandalized the stage and broke the music instruments.

Eyewitnesses told media that dozens of youth came and attacked the music team, adding that several musicians were thrashed. As per witnesses, the famous singer Shazia Bashir, who was performing on stage at the time of incident escaped unhurt.

Meanwhile, police rushed towards the spot.

Reports said, the SPO, identified as Manohar Lal fired with his AK-47 rifle at senior grade constable, Kaka Ram in Udhampur market last night. »

Srinagar March 28 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, at least two civilians were injured in a grenade attack in Islamabad district, today.

Unidentified persons hurled a grenade at a bunker of the Indian Paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in Sangham area of the district. Instead of hitting the target, the grenade exploded on the side of the road, injuring two persons. »

Srinagar, March 28 (KMS): A Kashmiri Muslim has said that he has been subjected to discrimination by Indian employees on the basis of his identity when he worked at an affiliate of Google in India.

In a media interview, Zahid Showkat said he had worked for 18 months as a vendor employee of Google India, hired by Serco Global Services, a partner of Google Ad-words, when he faced certain malpractices, racist and anti-Muslim behaviors. “I worked as an online strategist (Google Ad-words account manager) for Google ad-words ETO team India (External Tele Operations) at Google India office, first floor, Rolta Towers, Gurgaon, India,” he said in an email interview. »

Srinagar, March 28 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the High Court has quashed the illegal detention orders issued under draconian Public Safety Act (PSA), against a youth from Pulwama.

A bench of Justice Rajesh Oswal while quashing the PSA ordered the authorities to release the detainee Ashiq Ahmad forthwith provided he was not required in any other case. »

Jammu, March 28 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, registration for the upcoming annual pilgrimage to the Hindu shrine of Amarnath in south Kashmir is going to start from April 1.

The 56-day yatra to the 3,880-metre-high shrine is scheduled to start from the twin routes of Pahalgam and Baltal on June 28 and culminate on August 22.

In a meeting earlier this month, officials had said that all COVID-19 protocols are in place and standard operating procedures issued by the government will be followed.
