Srinagar March 28 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, at least two civilians were injured in a grenade attack in Islamabad district, today.

Unidentified persons hurled a grenade at a bunker of the Indian Paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in Sangham area of the district. Instead of hitting the target, the grenade exploded on the side of the road, injuring two persons. »

Srinagar, March 28 (KMS): A Kashmiri Muslim has said that he has been subjected to discrimination by Indian employees on the basis of his identity when he worked at an affiliate of Google in India.

In a media interview, Zahid Showkat said he had worked for 18 months as a vendor employee of Google India, hired by Serco Global Services, a partner of Google Ad-words, when he faced certain malpractices, racist and anti-Muslim behaviors. “I worked as an online strategist (Google Ad-words account manager) for Google ad-words ETO team India (External Tele Operations) at Google India office, first floor, Rolta Towers, Gurgaon, India,” he said in an email interview. »

Srinagar, March 28 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the High Court has quashed the illegal detention orders issued under draconian Public Safety Act (PSA), against a youth from Pulwama.

A bench of Justice Rajesh Oswal while quashing the PSA ordered the authorities to release the detainee Ashiq Ahmad forthwith provided he was not required in any other case. »

Muzaffarabad, March 28 (KMS) Terming unresolved Kashmir conflict as one of the perilous threats to global peace and security, AJK President Sardar Masood Khan has called upon UN Security Council to help resolve the decades-old issue pending on its agenda for the last seven decades.

Sardar Masood Khan in an interview with a national magazine on Sunday asserted that mobilizing the UN Security Council to implement its own resolutions on Kashmir, persuading the governments of powerful nations to call out India’s government, and to move the Kashmir movement from closed chambers to streets and squares across the world are some of the most serious challenges people of Kashmir and Pakistan are facing right now, AJK President office said Sunday night. »

Jammu, March 28 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, registration for the upcoming annual pilgrimage to the Hindu shrine of Amarnath in south Kashmir is going to start from April 1.

The 56-day yatra to the 3,880-metre-high shrine is scheduled to start from the twin routes of Pahalgam and Baltal on June 28 and culminate on August 22.

In a meeting earlier this month, officials had said that all COVID-19 protocols are in place and standard operating procedures issued by the government will be followed.

The woman has been identified as Sharifa Bibi wife of Noor Din, a resident of Danadoi in Mandi area of the district. »

Srinagar, March 28 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Peoples Democratic Front (PDF) Chairman, Hakeem Yaseen has described the recent thaw in Pak-India relations as a good omen for the restoration of peace and tranquility in the region, especially in Kashmir.

A statement of PDF issued in Srinagar said that addressing a party workers’ convention at Hardpanzoo Khansahib in Budgam district, Yaseen said, Kashmir becomes the first casualty of animosity between the two neighbouring countries and urged for opening of all the possible channels of dialogue.

Jammu, March 28 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, APHC leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Social Peace Forum, Devinder Singh Behl, has said that the Indian occupation forces have been committing massive human rights violations in the territory since 1947.

DevenderSingh Behl addressing a gathering in Nowshera area of Jammu in connection with public awareness campaign said that India, under the black laws, had given a license to its troops for killing and arresting the innocent people of IIOJK and especially the youth to suppress the Kashmir liberation movement. »

Srinagar, March 28 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism, martyred two Kashmiri youth in Shopian district.

The troops martyred the youth during a siege and search operation in Wangam area of the district.

The operation was started in the area by a joint team of Indian Police, Army’s 34RR and CRPF Saturday evening. An Indian soldier was also killed and two others were injured in the area.

The military operation was going on when the last reports came in.
