Srinagar, April 08 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred three Kashmiri youth in South Kashmir’s Shopian district, today.

The youth were killed during an ongoing cordon and search operation by the troops in Jan Mohalla area of the district.

The operation was jointly launched by the personnel of Indian Army, paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force and police. »

Urges UN to take cognizance of IIOJK’s deteriorating situation

Srinagar, April 08 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Harriet Conference (APHC) has condemned the nefarious designs of Modi-led fascist Indian government to destroy the cultural, social, educational, demographic and economic fabric of the territory.

The APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar expressed deep concern over the recent incidents of harassment and misconduct meted out to the Kashmiri students at Attari border and Dehli airport at the hands of Indian authorities when they were denied to travel to Pakistan despite having valid travel documents. »

India’s NIA arrests youth in Jammu

Srinagar, April 08 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, dead body of a missing youth was found in Kupwara district.

The missing youth identified as Bilal Ahmad Mir, was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Haihama area of the district. The body was spotted by some women in the area. He was missing since March 22.

On the other hand, India’s dreaded probe body National Investigation Agency arrested a youth at Jammu airport. »

Srinagar, April 08 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the leading religious and social organizations, under the aegis of Muttahida Majlis-e-Ulema (MMU) have denounced the continued house arrest of Hurriyat forum Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq.

The heads and representatives of the religious and social organizations addressing a joint press conference in Srinagar urged the authorities to release Mirwaiz Umar Farooq immediately, especially as the holy month of Ramadan is about to commence. »

Srinagar, April 08 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the High Court has quashed the illegal detention of three persons under draconian law, Public Safety Act (PSA).

The court quashed detentions of Manzoor Ahmad Butt, Muhammad Iqbal Hafiz and Shakir Ahmed Mir. They have been facing illegal detentions under PSA for the last over two years in different jails of the territory.

The court ordered the occupation authorities to release the detainees forthwith.

Islamabad, April 08 (KMS): The recent ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan took many in New Delhi and Islamabad by surprise. The joint statement released on 25 February after a special hotline call between the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) of the two countries stated, “In the interest of achieving mutually beneficial and sustainable peace along the borders, the two Directors General of Military Operations agreed to address each other’s core issues and concerns which have propensity to disturb peace and lead to violence”.

This renewed pledge reaffirmed the commitment of the historic truce agreement in November 2003, initiated by Pakistan and subsequently endorsed by India. After years of living in a climate of constant fear, over a million Kashmiris living in remote areas adjacent to the Line of Control (LoC) then enjoyed a brief respite from violence. The 2003 ceasefire introduced an unprecedented acceleration of economic development followed. Unfortunately, it did not survive for long. A terror incident in Mumbai in 2008 triggered a downward spiral of violence and instability. »

Issues notice to Banerjee over appeal to Muslim voters

New Delhi, April 08 (KMS: Even the Indian Election Commission sided with the ruling party, the BJP, when it issued the notice to the Chief Minister of West Bengal state, regarding her statement on April 3 in which she appealed to Muslim voters to unite against the ruling BJP and not let their vote be split.

The West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader, Mamata Banerjee, speaking at a rally had said, “I am requesting my minority brothers and sisters with folded hands don’t divide the minority votes after listening to the devil person who had taken money from the BJP. He passes many communal statements and initiate clashes between the Hindu and the Muslims.” »

Muzaffarabad, April 08 (KMS): Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front remembered Maulana Showkat Shaheed saying his services are unforgettable and cannot be overlooked.

The JKLF leaders while addressing a programme in Thorad, Rawalakot, said, Showkat Shaheed’s struggle for freedom and efforts to eradicate sectarianism from IIOJK would always be remembered.

The event was organized to memorize Showkat Ahmad Shah who embraced martyrdom on 8th April 2011. It was attended by various JKLF leaders, senior activists and people. »
