Srinagar, April 09 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Ulema, Aima and Khateebs of the grand masajid, khanqahs, imambarahs and shrines have expressed serious anguish and resentment over the 20-month-long arbitrary and unconstitutional house detention of the Hurriyat forum Chairman and Mutahida Majlis-e-Ulema chief, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq.

The Ulema, Aima and Khateebs of the grand masajid, khanqahs, imambargahs and shrines in their addresses to the Friday congregations termed the continued house arrest of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq as a gross violation of an individual’s personal freedom besides a sheer interference in the religious affairs. »

Islamabad, April 09 (KMS): Foreign Office Spokesperson, Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri has urged the international community to play its due role to help resolve the outstanding dispute of Jammu and Kashmir.

Responding to a question during weekly press briefing in Islamabad, today, he said Pakistan wants peaceful and cooperative relations with all the neighbours, including India, and is determined to resolve all outstanding issues with New Delhi through dialogue.

The Spokesperson said Prime Minister Imran Khan, just after coming to power, had stated that if India takes one step towards peace, Pakistan will take two. »

Srinagar, April 09 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, an Indian soldier was killed in an attack in South Kashmir’s Islamabad district, today.

The soldier identified as Muhammad Saleem Khan was critically injured when unidentified gunmen fired upon him in Jablipora area of Bejbhera. He was shifted to Government Medical College, Islamabad, where he was declared brought dead. »

Srinagar, April 09 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian police personnel beat up prisoners lodged in a special jail in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

The policemen beat up the inmates during the intervening night of Thursday and Friday for possessing cell phones.

Reports said that after snatching the cell phones of two prisoners, the policemen went on a spree to beat the prisoners. »

Srinagar, April 09 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders and organizations have strongly denounced the killing of youth by Indian troops in Pulwama and Shopian districts.

The Chairman of Democratic Political Movement (DPM) Khawaja Firdous in a statement issued in Srinagar said, the forces’ personnel have been given unbridled powers under Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) to kill people, especially youth, to spread terror among the population to keep them away from the ongoing freedom struggle.

Islamabad, April 09 (KMS): Hindu community held a protest demonstration in front of the Indian High Commission in Islamabad, today (Friday), demanding justice for the mysterious deaths of 11 Pakistani Hindus last year in Jodhpur, India.

The protestors chanted slogans against Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP government.

Talking to media, members of the community said Modi’s communal policies are becoming threat to minorities as well as to the regional peace. »
