Brussels, April 16 (KMS): A demonstration was held, today, in Brussels, the European Headquarters, in order to express solidarity with the oppressed people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The gathering was organized by Kashmir Council Europe (KCEU) in front of WSC building in the Belgium’s capital city.

The demonstrators were holding banners having slogans calling for withdrawal of Indian troops and end to the atrocities in the occupied territory. »

Islamabad, April 16 (KMS): Foreign Office Spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri has said that durable peace, security and development in South Asia hinge on the peaceful resolution of longstanding Kashmir dispute.

Responding to a question at his weekly-news briefing in Islamabad, today (Friday), he said both Pakistan and India need to discuss all outstanding issues, including the Jammu and Kashmir dispute with a view to seek peaceful resolution of this longstanding issue as per the international legitimacy.

He said Kashmir dispute remains central point to any meaningful engagement between India and Pakistan but unfortunately, India vitiated the environment through its illegal and unilateral actions of 5th August 2019. »

Paris, April 16 (KMS): NGO Jammu and Kashmir Forum France led by its President Asif Jaral organised a protest at main Turkish Mosque in Paris, today, against human right violations by Indian troops in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Indian barbarism continues even in Ramadan: Mushaal Malik

Islamabad, April 16 (KMS): The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir chapter held a demonstration outside the National Press Club in Islamabad, today, against the Indian brutalities in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Various Kashmiri organizations and civil society groups participated in the protest demonstration to unmask the fascist and brutal face of the Indian government. The demonstration was held to highlight the rising incidents of human rights violations in the occupied territory even in the holy month of Ramadan.

Addressing the protesters, Mushaal Hussein Malik, the wife of illegally detained Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, Muhammad Yasin Malik, voiced grave concern over the unabated incidents of Indian state terrorism in IIOJK. She sought the world community’s help to put an end on the systematic genocide of Kashmiris in the occupied territory. She said that the brutal forces’ personnel had further intensified the wave of terrorism and oppressions to silence the just voices of freedom loving Kashmiris. »

Srinagar, April 16 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, hours after woman Special Police Officer (SPO) Saima Akhter was arrested and slapped with draconian law, Unlawful Activities (prevention) Act (UAPA) besides terminated from services, People Democratic Party (PDP) President Mehbooba Mufti termed police action as “cruel”.

“Saima Akhter from Kulgam has been slapped with UAPA for raising legitimate questions about searching her home repeatedly without any reasons. Saima’s ailing mother understandably exacerbated her worries. When it comes to cruelty even women aren’t spared in Naya Kashmir,” Mehbooba tweeted. »

New Delhi, April 16 (KMS): Indian civil society group, the Concerned Citizens Group (CCG) has said that Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir has continued to remain disturbed since August 05, 2019 and that anger, despair and alienation of Kashmiris have increased further in the territory.

The CCG members visited Kashmir from March 30 to April 02, 2021 which was its third visit after the Narendra Modi government revoked the special status of Jammu and Kashmir and the eighth since mass uprising in the Valley following the martyrdom of prominent youth leader, Burhan Wani in July 2016. The members of the group comprise Yashwant Sinha, Sushobha Barve, Wajahat Habibullah, Kapil Kak and Bharat Bhushan. But only Sushobha Barve, Wajahat Habibullah, Air Vice Marshal Kapil Kak and Bharat Bhushan undertook the latest visit due to the Covid-19 situation. »

Srinagar, April 16 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Hurriyat forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has strongly condemned the continued house detention of its Chairman.

Hurriyat forum in a statement issued in Srinagar said the continued detention of the Mirwaiz has deeply hurt the sentiments of the Muslims of Kashmir.

“Even on the first Friday of the blessed month of Ramadan, the pulpit of the historic and central Jamia Masjid Srinagar continues to remain silent, as Mirwaiz Umar Farooq continues to be kept under arbitrary house detention by the authorities,” it said. »

Forceful anti-India demos at Srinagar Jamia Masjid

Srinagar, April 16 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, senior APHC leader and the Chairman of Anjuman Sharie Shian, Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi, has reiterated that dialogue is the only way forward to resolve the Kashmir dispute.

Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi in his Friday sermon at Central Imambargah in Badgam maintained that the Kashmir dispute is a reality and peace and development cannot be established in the region without its resolution. He said it is incumbent upon the leadership of both India and Pakistan to start an initiative over Kashmir as strained relations between them are of no help. He said the Hurriyat leadership is ready to support such a process at any level. »

Srinagar, April 16 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, National Conference leader, Hasnain Masoodi, has said that People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) is fully committed to its agenda and the peace is not possible unless and until the decision taken by Modi government on 05 August 2019 are revoked.

Hasnain Masoodi in a media interview in Srinagar after a meeting with party office bearers in Islamabad town said that the PAGD couldn’t meet due to Dr Farooq Abdullah’s health issues. He added that PAGD would continue to fight for revocation of August 5 2019 decision. »

Islamabad, April 16 (KMS): The US federal agency ‘Small Business Administration’ has said that five US-based organisations linked to Hindu supremacist and religious groups have received COVID-19 relief funding amounting to $833,000.

A report released by Kashmir Media Service, today, said that American activists and US-based civil rights organisations had urged the US Small Business Administration to probe how Hindu right-wing groups received hundreds of thousands of dollars in federal COVID-19 relief funds. »
