Release of Shabbir Shah, other Kashmiri detainees demanded

Srinagar, April 24 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, senior APHC leader and the President of Anjuman Sharie Shian, Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi, has said that Narendra Modi-led fascist Indian government’s unilateral and oppressive measures of 5th August will not change the disputed status of Jammu and Kashmir and India has no option other than resolving the issue.

Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi in an interview with Kashmir Media Service said that Pakistan’s proposed action of granting Gilgit-Baltistan the status of a province should not be linked to India’s actions as Islamabad made the decision to honour the aspirations of the people of the region. »

Srinagar, April 24 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the National Conference has called the constitution of a task force to monitor IIOJK employees a toolkit to suppress employees, saying it will impede the work culture in government departments.

Party Member of Parliament, Muhammad Akbar Lone in a statement in Srinagar termed the measure of monitoring the IIOJK employees with a task force a diktat destined to take away what was given by the Constitution to people in the form of fundamental rights. »

Sehrai complains of worsening eyesight in jail

Srinagar, April 24 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the rights activists and experts have said that the illegal detention of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir Chairman, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai since July 2020 has highlighted the bleak plight of Kashmiri political prisoners.

Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, 77, can hear only with the help of hearing aids as he was diagnosed with 70 percent hearing loss in his right ear and 50 percent loss in his left in 2019.

The irreversible loss of hearing was caused years after custodial torture in 2000 in a jail in India’s Jharkhand state, according to his son, Mujahid Sehrai. »

Srinagar, April 24 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, as the situation created by COVID-19 worsens in India, Dr Bilquies Shah, the wife of illegally detained senior APHC leader, Shabbir Ahmed Shah, has demanded release of all Kashmiri prisoners including her husband languishing in different Indian jails.

Dr Bilquies, who herself is a reputed doctor, wrote on her facebook page “High time to release my husband Shabbir Shah and all other Kashmiri prisoners lodged at Tihar and different jails across India. If not release at least shift them to J&K.” »

Srinagar, April 24 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League (JKPL) has urged the Indian authorities to release all the illegally detained Hurriyat leaders and activists on humanitarian grounds amid spike in COVID-19 cases.

The JKPL General Secretary Naseer-ul-Islam addressing a meeting of his party in Srinagar said that crowded jails were most vulnerable in spread of the coronavirus among inmates, which is a matter of grave concern.

He appealed to the IIOJK people to strictly follow the preventive measures and guidelines as suggested by medical experts so that precious human lives can be saved and the deadly disease is prevented from spreading further »
