Islamabad, April 30 (KMS): The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter staged a protest demonstration outside the National Press Club, Islamabad, today, against the killing of innocent youth, destruction of property and harassment of people including women and children by Indian troops during cordon and search operations in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Addressing the protesters, the APHC-AJK leaders deplored that Indian troops have made the life of Kashmiris miserable and they are martyring innocent Kashmiri youth on daily basis and this senseless killing spree is continuing unabated. »

Brussels, April 30 (KMS): The Chairman Kashmir Council Europe (KCEU), Ali Raza Syed, has asked the European Union (EU) not to forget severe violations of human rights of the people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir particularly in its upcoming summit with India.

Ahead of EU-India summit on 8th of May in Portugal, in its recommendations, the European Parliament has reiterated its support for stability and de-escalation between India and Pakistan. In a statement, the EU Parliament calls on the EU to renew its efforts for rapprochement and restoration of good neighborly relations between India and Pakistan, based on principles of international law. As for the human rights’ situation in India, the EU parliament expresses concern over the deteriorating human rights situation in India, echoing comments by the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights and several UN Special Rapporteurs. This includes reports including UN’s High Commissioner for Human Rights that human rights defenders and journalists in the country lack a safe working environment. »

Modi’s policies have made Kashmir a flashpoint

Srinagar, April 30 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has expressed deep concern over the infernal situation prevailing in the territory since the imposition of military siege on 5th August 2019 by Narendra Modi-led Indian fascist regime.

The APHC Working Vice Chairman, Ghulam Ahmed Gulzar, in a statement issued in Srinagar said that as and when India faced rough weather at international level on Kashmir, it vented its rage on the subjugated people of IIOJK. He said the people of Kashmir have a fundamental right to decide their future as per the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council to which India is a signatory. He maintained that the APHC firmly believes that Pakistan as a party to the Kashmir dispute has always made sincere efforts to resolve it peacefully but unfortunately, India’s illogical stubbornness has remained stumbling block in achieving this objective. The APHC leader urged New Delhi to create a conducive atmosphere for the settlement of the lingering dispute through dialogue process.

Ghulam Ahmed Gulzar urged the United Nations Secretary General, António Guterres, to play role in the final solution of the Kashmir dispute as per the UN resolutions. He added that it had become highly imperative to resolve all international conflicts, in the wake of devastating COVID-19 pandemic and divert all the war expenditures to save human life on the earth.

The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Mass Movement, Molvi Bashir Ahmed, in a statement in Srinagar said South Asia has become a nuclear flashpoint due to India’s rigid policy on Kashmir and added that settlement of the lingering dispute was inevitable for sustainable peace and security in the region. »

Muzaffarabad, April 30 (KMS): Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir organized a protest rally in Muzaffarabad for immediate release of all illegally detained Hurriyat leaders and activists languishing in different jails of India and the occupied territory.

Alarge number of people participated in the rally taken out from Lal Chowk Upper Ada in Muzaffarabad. The demonstrators were holding banners and placards with pro-freedom and anti-India slogans and were demanding the immediate release of all Kashmiri political detainees.

Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir Chairman, Uzair Ahmad Ghazali, Vice Chairman of International Forum for Justice and Human Rights, Mushtaq-ul-Islam, Naib Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami, Shaikh Aqeel-ur-Rehman, and other speakers addressed the rally. »

Islamabad, April 30 (KMS): The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Freedom League (JKPFL), Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, has said that the policies of fascist Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, have caused alarming surge in COVID-19 in India and Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Muhammad Farooq Rehmani in a statement issued in Islamabad said that the Indian Prime Minister allowed Kumbh Mela in India and Amarnath Yatra in IIOJK, threatening billions of lives. He urged the United Nations and the World Health Organisation to take note of the current Covid situation and ask the fascist Indian Prime Minister to cancel all such religious pilgrimages forthwith. »

Srinagar, April 30 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Mass Movement (JKMM), Molvi Bashir Ahmad, has said that the Indian forces’ personnel are using all tactics to suppress the Kashmiris’ liberation movement.

Molvi Bashir Ahmad in a statement issued in Srinagar deplored that the troops had added to the miseries of the Kashmiris by imposing lockdown and conducting cordon and search operations amid the COVID-19 pandemic. »

Canberra, Australia, April 30 (KMS): The Indian High Commission in Canberra has condemned a report published in The Australian, a daily newspaper, wherein Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s missteps and complacency have been held responsible for the devastating second wave of coronavirus in India.

The article titled “Modi leads India into a viral apocalypse”, said that despite the repeated warning of health experts and a burgeoning shortage of oxygen and vaccines in India, the BJP government allowed religious gatherings such as the Kumbh Mela to continue unabated, while the country’s prime minister Narendra Modi himself spearheaded mammoth election rallies in which tens of thousands participated without masks. »

Srinagar, April 30 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, an Indian Army porter died after slipping into a deep gorge in Kupwara district.

The Indian Army porter, Muneer Ahmad, died when he slipped and fell down into a deep gorge in Upper Karnah sector of the district.

The porter was retrieved from the gorge and sensing his condition he was airlifted to military Hospital in Srinagar, however doctors there declared him brought dead on arrival, an Indian police officer said. »
