India makes record after 4 lakh Covid cases in a day

Srinagar, May 02 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders and organizations have condemned in strong words the shifting of Kashmiri prisoners to different jails in India amid fast spreading coronavirus.

The leaders and organizations including the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Secretary General, Molvi Bashir Ahmed, Jammu and Kashmir National Front, Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League and Jammu and Kashmir Employees Movement in their separate statements issued in Srinagar termed the move a deliberate attempt on the part of Modi regime to put the IIOJK detainees’ lives at risk. Molvi Bashir said that the shifting of incarcerated leaders and activists is a sheer criminal act keeping in view the devastating Covid 19 Pandemic incessantly spreading like wild fire in the nook and corner of India. They demanded unconditional release of all Kashmiri detainees. They deplored that Indian troops are continuing to harass, arrest and kill Kashmiris during cordon and search operations. The leaders and organizations grilled the silence of the United Nations and human rights organizations over the rights violations of the Kashmiris by India. »

Srinagar, May 2 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Molvi Bashir Ahmed, Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Mass Movement, has demanded immediate and unconditional release of Kashmiris lodged in various jails in India and the territory.

Molvi Bashir Ahmed in a statement issued in Srinagar expressed grave concern over the continued detention of Hurriyat leaders, workers and youth in Tihar, Kotbhalwal, Jodhpur, Agra, Haryana and other jails. He said that even during the spread of coronavirus, these Kashmiri detainees are being subjected to inhuman treatment.

He said that international human rights organizations and forums should raise their voice against these human rights violations. »

Video exposes Indian prime minister Modi’s cheapness

New Delhi, May 02 (KMS): Instead of being grateful to Saudi Arabia for donating hundreds of oxygen containers for the much needed Indians amid ravages of Covid-19 pandemic, the Indian government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has found relabeling these oxygen containers by an India-based business company Reliance run by Mukesh Ambani, the right hand of Narendra Modi.

According to Kashmir Media Service, a video making rounds on social media clearly shows government workers covering the Saudi oxygen container with a banner bearing name of Reliance to give an impression that the oxygen supply was manufactured locally, which shows the cheapness of Prime Minister Modi. »

New Delhi, May 02 (KMS): There seems to be no let-up in the COVID crisis in India as the total tally of COVID cases corssed 4 lakh in a day which is the highest number in any country across the globe.

Authorities reported 401,993 new cases on Saturday, after 10 consecutive days of more than 300,000 daily cases. Deaths jumped by 3,523, taking the country’s total toll to 211,853, according to the health ministry. »

Srinagar, May 02 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir National Front (JKNF) has condemned in strong terms the shifting of Kashmiri prisoners from the territory to different jails of India.

The JKNF Spokesman, Shafiq-ur-Rehman in a statement issued in Srinagar deplored that amidst fast spreading coronavirus, shifting of the Kashmiri prisoners from valley to different parts of India was a criminal negligence and tantamount to endangering the prisoners’ lives.

He said that hundreds of Kashmiri prisoners were already languishing in Tihar, Haryana, UP, Tamil Nadu, Madya Pardesh and Karnatka jails of India. »

Islamabad, May 02 (KMS): The Jammu and Kashmir Council for Human Rights (JKCHR) has taken a serious exception to the termination of a Muslim school teacher in the name of so-called security concerns by the authorities in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The JKCHR President, Dr Syed Nazir Gilani has written to Lt Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha that on Eid government employees look forward to Eid packages from the employer. New Delhi, May 02 (KMS): Medical experts and frontline workers are casting doubt over India’s official COVID-19 death toll as the country passed its four hundred thousand lakh mark in a day, the highest number in any country across the globe.

A report released by Kashmir Media Service said, the authorities reported 401,993 new cases in the past 24 hours, after 10 consecutive days of more than 300,000 daily cases. Officially reported deaths jumped by 3,523, taking the country’s total toll to 211,853, while the actual number of deaths as per medical experts, frontline workers and international media could be 10 times higher than reported by Indian health ministry.

A New York Times investigation published this week found “mounting evidence” that suggested fatalities are being “overlooked or downplayed” by the government. “It’s a complete massacre of data,” Bhramar Mukherjee, an epidemiologist at the University of Michigan, told the Times. “From all the modeling we’ve done, we believe the true number of deaths is two to five times what is being reported.” »

Srinagar, May 02 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference Chairman, Shabbir Ahmed Dar has strongly condemned the expulsion of Kashmiri Muslims from government services.

Shabbir Ahmed Dar in a statement issued in Srinagar said that termination of Idrees Ahmed, a teacher, is the latest example as has been targeted because of being a religious and a committed social worker of the area.

He said, the anti-Muslim policies of the authorities are well-known and their policies are now being implemented to target Muslim majority and cause mental agony and economic distress to the expelled employees and their families. »
