Islamabad, May 10 (KMS) The nuclear and defense experts said that 7 kg of uranium, worth about 3 million dollars, seized in Mumbai, India, is of extremely pure grade, enough to make a bomb.

The experts including John Miller and Brig Masood Ahmad Khan, while expressing shock and dismay over the lenient approach of IAEA, have said that such quality of 90 percent enriched uranium isotopes is enough to be directly used to make nuclear bombs.

They said that about 15 kilograms of the same quality of uranium is used to make an atomic bomb. »

Lucknow, May 10 (KMS): Locals in Hamirpur district of Uttar Pradesh spotted dozens of bodies floating on the river Yamuna, leading to panic among the residents, even as speculation grew about the bodies being of those villagers who succumbed to coronavirus, Indian media reported.

Some people are even saying that the sheer number of Covid-19 casualties in villages in Hamirpur is such that bodies of the victims are being floated on the river as cremation grounds are overwhelmed with the numbers. »

Srinagar, May 10 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, a Kashmiri photojournalist, Saqib Majeed, on Monday said that he was ruthlessly assaulted by Indian forces’ personnel while performing his professional duties in Srinagar.

Saqib Majeed, speaking to media in Srinagar said that he was on professional duty, capturing some photographs near Dal Lake, however, as soon as he got out of the car, he was rounded up by forces’ personnel and thrashed ruthlessly.

“As soon as I got out of my car, they stopped me from taking any photographs and asked me to disclose my permission for roaming in the lockdown,” Saqib said, adding, “I am a journalist and the Inspector General of Police has said that our press ID cards will be treated as a curfew pass,” he added. »

Srinagar, May 10 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has expressed serious concern over the plight of illegally detained Kashmiris lodged in Indian jails and the threat posed to their lives due to massive surge in coronavirus in India.

The APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar strongly condemned the inhuman attitude displayed by India towards the Kashmiri Hurriyat leaders and activists languishing in different jails of IIOJK and India. He said the recent shocking custodial killing of senior APHC leader, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, in Udhampur jail points to the fact that the people of Kashmir have genuine apprehensions about the safety of the detainees. The spokesman praised the high morale of the Kashmiri people and also the reverence and love shown by them for the martyred leader. »

Srinagar, May 10 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Acting Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League (JKML), Abdul Ahad Parra has demanded the immediate release of illegally detained Hurriyat leaders and activists lodged in different jails of India and the territory.

Abdul Ahad Parra in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the Covid-19 pandemic was on the rise in India, which had endangered the lives of Kashmiri political detainees in jails.

He said that the authorities had extended the corona lockdown till May 17 so that this disease could not spread and human life can be safe but they did not release the Kashmiri political detainees. He added that lakhs of prisoners had been released in the entire world. »

According to Kashmir Media Service, the CRPF constable, Muheet Kumar, died reportedly of cardiac arrest while on duty in Humhama area of the district. »
