Muhammad Farooq Rehmani in a statement issued in Islamabad termed the attack as shocking and brutalizing horrors by the Israeli occupation troops to achieve a great dirty objective in the holy land of Palestine during the holy month of Ramadan. He said the Israeli assault needs to be condemned and stopped by the UN and its member states and not permit unbridled rule of Israel in Palestine.

The JKPFL Chairman said, “It is shocking that 20 people were killed in Gaza strip on Monday, making it one of the bloodiest days of fighting in several years. We are deeply sad to know that seven members of one family including 3 children, were killed in northern Gaza and 300 Palestinians were hurt in clashes with Israeli police at Al-Aqsa mosque,”

Farooq Rehmani said Israeli police restricted access to Al-Aqsa mosque. “What are hidden objectives of Israel in the holiest mosque of Al-Aqsa after the holy Kaaba Makka-tul-Mukarama, has raised serious concern among over one billion Muslims of the world,” he said.

The JKPFL Chairman said the UN in line with its Charter and resolutions should intervene in the tumultuous region to prevent Israel from illegal settlements, use of brute force against the Palestinians and fulfill its promise of a free and independent State of Palestine in the Middle East, the only alternative to achieve a just and amicable settlement of the 73-year-old dispute.
