APHC calls for global intervention to end genocide

Sarjan Barkati released from jail after over four yearsSrinagar, May 15 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, police arrested around three dozen people including prominent Hurriyat leader Maulana Sarjan Barkati in Srinagar, Pulwama, Kulgam and Shopian districts.

Police during house raids arrested 28 youth in Badshahi Bagh and other areas of Srinagar for holding anti-Israel and anti-India protests. Maulana Sarjan Barkati, the face of pro-freedom and anti-India protests, was arrested from his residence at Zainapora in Shopian. He was arrested after he delivered a speech in his locality on the occasion of Eidul Fitr. Sarjan Barkati became famous after he introduced new styles of raising pro-Azadi slogans in the wake of martyrdom of youth leader Burhan Muzaffar Wani in July 2016. »

Srinagar, May 15 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian troops beat up Jamaat-e-Islami leader and his family members in Islamabad district.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the troops barged into the house of the Tehsil president of Jamaat-e-Islami, Gulzar Ahmad Butt and ruthlessly thrashed his wife, daughter and son at Uranhall in Bijbehara area of the district. »

Srinagar, May 15 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, six persons including four women patients died of Covid-19 in Pulwama district.

The deceased were above the age group of 60 and four of them were women suffering from co-morbidities.

The deaths took place during the intervening night of May 14 and 15 in the hospital, the official of the South Kashmir’s District Hospital Pulwama told media men. »

Srinagar, May15 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Moulana Sarjan Barkati, the face of pro-freedom and anti-India protests who earned sobriquets like ‘Azaadi Chacha’ and ‘Pied Piper’, was arrested by Indian police at Zainapora in Shopian district.

A known cleric, Mr. Barkhati came under the police radar after his videos went viral on social networking sites. The police have already seized his property.
