APHC wants action against India, Israel

Srinagar, May 16 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the two sons of senior APHC leader late Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai namely Mujahid Ashraf Sehrai and Rashid Ashraf Sehrai were arrested along with many relatives by the Indian police and were taken to Kupwara police station.

The police said that they were arrested for raising anti-India slogans during Sehrai’s funeral. Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai was systematically killed by the Indian authorities while depriving him of basic amenities custody in Udhampur jail. He breathed his last on May 5, 2021 in custody. Political experts and analysts in Srinagar said that the arrests are meant to victimize and punish the family for espousing the freedom cause. »

Srinagar, May 16:(KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast was triggered by unknown persons in Turkawangam area of Shopian district on Sunday, today.

Srinagar, May 16 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Working Vice Chairman Ghulam Ahmad Gulzar while terming the Kashmir and Palestine disputes as the two faces of a single coin, has strongly condemned the worst type of state terrorism perpetrated by India and Israel on the respective occupied territories.

Ghulam Ahmad Gulzar in a statement issued in Srinagar leader said that particularly after August 2019 the occupied territory of Jammu and Kashmir has been converted into a military zone were people are living a miserable life under the shadow of a war. »

Imphal, May 16 (KMS): In India, a journalist and a political activist have been arrested in Manipur for writing social media posts on the death of a senior BJP leader due to COVID-19.

Manipur-based journalist Kishorechandra Wangkhem and political activist Erendro Leichombam were arrested by Indian police from their houses after the state BJP vice-president, Usham Deban, and general secretary P Premananda Meetei filed a complaint against them.

The BJP-led government in Manipur has filed case against them and have been sent to police custody till May 17. »

Srinagar, May 16 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian forces on Sunday morning launched a major operation in the outskirts of Jammu city.

The search operation was launched by Indian police, army and BSF in villages of Domana sub-division of Jammu with some of the area falling towards the Working Boundary.

The authorities claimed that the operation was launched after information of a drone movement during midnight. »

Islamabad, May 16 (KMS): Blinded by anger against Kashmiris for their uncompromising commitment to the freedom cause, RSS-backed Modi government has stooped too low to arrest two sons and other family members of senior APHC leader and Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir Chairman Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai who was systematically killed in custody on May 5, 2021.

A report released by Kashmir Media Service, today, said that Sehrai’s two sons namely, Mujahid Ashraf Sehrai and Rashid Ashraf Sehrai, were arrested by police from Bulbulbagh in Srinagar on Saturday evening. »

Prayagraj, India, May 16 (KMS): Police are reaching out to villagers in northern India to investigate the recovery of bodies buried in shallow sand graves or washing up on the Ganges River banks, prompting speculation on social media that they were the remains of COVID-19 victims.

In jeeps and boats, the police used portable loudspeakers with microphones asking people not to dispose of the bodies in rivers. “We are here to help you perform the last rites,” police said.

On Friday, rains exposed the cloth coverings of bodies buried in shallow sand graves on the riverbank in Prayagraj, a city in Uttar Pradesh state. »

Urges UN, OIC to rein in Israel’s aggression in Palestine

Srinagar, May 16 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Hurriyat forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has strongly condemned the arrest of Kashmiri artist Mudasir Gul under the draconian Public Safety Act for expressing solidarity through art with the oppressed people of Palestine and twenty other youth for social media posts in support of oppressed Palestinians.

The Hurriyat forum in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the artist and other youth were only expressing their feelings and nowhere in the world is expressing solidarity with a subjugated people a crime that warrants arrest under draconian laws. »

Srinagar, May 16 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, an outspoken Kashmiri politician and National Conference leader Ruhullah Mehdi has mocked the territory’s police, saying Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu did not acknowledge them for “tireless efforts to repress Kashmiris who stand for Palestine”.

Ruhullah Mehdi took to Twitter on Sunday evening and commented on Netanyahu’s post in which he had applauded countries, excluding India, for supporting Israel’s recent aggression on Gaza where 189 innocent people including dozens of children have been killed in the Israeli airstrikes. »
