Srinagar, May 22 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Hurriyat leader, Javaid Ahmed Mir, has deplored the silence of the international community on the killing of innocent Kashmiris and Palestinians by Indian and Israeli troops.

Javaid Ahmed Mir speaking at a condolence meeting in Srinagar said for the last seven decades international disputes of Kashmir and Palestine were glaring examples of the failure of the world peacemakers, the UN and other international forums, which are playing the role of mute spectators.

“How long world peacemakers will maintain silence on innocent killings, arrests, disappearances and imprisonments of innocent civilians in Kashmir and Palestine,” he asked.

Javaid Mir said the Kashmiris have been fighting for their right to self-determination for the last over seven decades. He said the surge in COVID-19 in India has posed threat to the live of illegally detained Hurriyat leaders and youth lodged in different Indian jails. He appealed to the UN Secretary General to impress upon India to release all Kashmiri detainees.
