Srinagar, May 26 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference and other Hurriyat leaders and organizations have condemned the forcible eviction of local Kashmiris from their ancestral land by men in uniform under the expansionist policy of the Modi-led fascist Indian government.

APHC Chief Organiser, Chaudhry Shaheen Iqbal, in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the recent operation against the Gujjar and Bakarwal communities in Shopian heights and adjacent areas was part of the Modi regime’s sinister agenda to change the demography of the territory. He urged the United Nations to prevent India from fiddling with the demography of disputed Jammu and Kashmir. »

Srinagar, May 26 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Hurriyat leader, Javaid Ahmed Mir, has appealed to the world human rights bodies including the UN Human Right Council to impress upon India to release all illegally detained Kashmiri Hurriyat leaders and activists lodged in different Indian jails in view of the massive surge in coronavirus in India.

On 12th April, 2021, Zahoor Ahmed Zargar, the youngest brother of Mushtaq Ahmad Zargar, the sole bread earner of the family, was forcibly taken by the police without any warrant while he was attending his shop in the Nowhatta area of Srinagar.

“Why are we raising our sons, the police come and take them whenever they like,” complains his sister Afroza, who is wife of enforced disappearance victim, Sirajud Din. »

Srinagar, May 26 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, APHC leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Political Movement (DPM), Khawaja Firdous, has said that India is using nefarious tactics to suppress the Kashmiris’ freedom movement and to further its nefarious designs in the territory.

Khawaja Firdous in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the purpose of Indian atrocities was to intimidate the Kashmiri people and force them to give up their just cause. He said the tremendous sacrifices made by the Kashmiris for the last over seven decades for their right to self-determination will not be allowed to go waste. »

Srinagar, May 26 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir National Front (JKNF) and Jammu Kashmir Social and Justice League (JKSJL) have called upon the United Nations and other world human rights organizations to take cognizance of illegal detentions, denial of fundamental rights and gross human rights violations by India in the territory.

The JKNF spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar expressed serious concern over the deteriorating health of the incarcerated party chairman Nayeem Ahmed Khan and other Kashmiri prisoners languishing in jails in different parts of India. »

Srinagar, May 26 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the High Court has quashed the illegal detention of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League (JKML) leader, Farooq Ahmed Tawheedi, booked under the black law, Public Safety Act.

A resident of Tawheed Bagh-Batpora in Sopore town, Farooq Ahmed Tawheedi was booked under the draconian law on 11 July 2020.

His son Irfan Farooq had filed a petition before the High Court, seeking quashment of the detention order passed by Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, last year. »

, May 26 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference Chairman, Shabbir Ahmed Dar, has expressed serious concern over the criminal and negligent approach of Indian authorities towards the Kashmiri political detainees amid the looming threat of deadly Indian variant of coronavirus.

Shabbir Ahmed Dar in a statement issued in Srinagar criticized the authorities for refusing to listen to their supreme court wherein it had said that jails must be decongested by releasing under-trials to avert the COVID threat, which has infected hundreds of inmates. »
