Islamabad, March 26 (KMS): Foreign Minister, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, has said the international community including Britain should play effective role to get stopped blatant human rights violations in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Talking to member of British House of Lords Lord Wajid Khan who called on him in Islamabad today, the Foreign Minister said resolution of the Kashmir dispute as per the UN Security Council resolutions is imperative for durable regional peace and stability. »

Islamabad, March 26 (KMS): Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research, Syed Fakhar Imam, has said that Pakistan will never make compromise on the Kashmir issue.

In an interview with private channels, he said Pakistan has made extensive efforts to highlight at diplomatic level the gross human rights violations being perpetrated by India in Indian illegally occupied Kashmir.

He asked India to immediately end the continuing lockdown, communications blockade and media blackout in IIOJK, and release the incarcerated Kashmiri leadership. »

Srinagar, March 09 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference Chairman Shabbir Ahmad Dar, rights defender Muhammad Ahsan Untoo and Muslim Khawateen Markaz Chairperson Yasmeen Raja, today, visited the bereaved family of late Bashir Ahmed Shaikh at Maisuma in Srinagar.

The deceased was the father-in-law of renowned trade leader Sajad Gul who is a dedicated supporter of resistance movement. Woman leader Riffat Dar was also part of the delegation.

Speaking to the mourners, Shabir Dar said that freedom from India is the dream of every Kashmiri. The illegal occupation of the territory by India is nearing its end as the world has realized the importance of conflict resolution. »

Urges India to end curbs in IIOJK

Geneva, February 23 (KMS): Turkey has raised the Kashmir dispute at the United Nations Human Rights Council, with a call for resolving the decades-old dispute on the basis of UN resolutions and the “legitimate” expectations of Kashmiri people who are struggling for their right of self-determination.

“We reiterate our call to the Government of India to ease current restrictions in Jammu and Kashmir,” Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu told the 47-member Council in Geneva. »

United Nations, January 23 (KMS): The UN General Assembly has unanimously adopted a new resolution sponsored by Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and other Islamic countries that condemns offences against religious sites and calls for greater efforts to promote a culture of tolerance and peace at all levels.

“The adoption of this resolution is a part of the efforts initiated by Prime Minister Imran Khan to combat Islamophobia and outlaw attacks on Muslims religious shrines, symbols and sacred personalities in certain countries,” Pakistan’s UN Ambassador Munir Akram said while commenting on the 193-member Assembly’s action. »

Srinagar, December 14 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir Youth Social Forum (JKYSF) has urged the United Nations and other world major powers to intervene for settlement of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the Kashmiris’ aspirations.

JKYSF Spokesman Shafiq Ahmad in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the people of Kashmir wanted cordial relations between Pakistan and India which was possible after the amicable settlement of the lingering Kashmir dispute.

The spokesman while denouncing the continued harassment, arrest and anti-Kashmir designs of Modi regime asked New Delhi to give up its oppressive policies towards Kashmir, and pave the way for settlement of the dispute in its historical perspective. He reiterated to continue freedom struggle till its logical conclusion »

Islamabad, December 11 (KMS): Pakistan has called upon the United Nations and UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) to immediately begin investigation and de-listing of the ten fake NGOs created by India to malign Pakistan.

This was stated by Foreign Minister, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, while addressing a joint news conference along with Special Assistant on National Security, Moeed Yousuf, in Islamabad today.

They were briefing the media in context of a recent report by EU DisinfoLab that contained details of India’s propaganda and influence operations against Pakistan. »

Islamabad, December 11 (KMS): Foreign Office today summoned a senior Indian diplomat to register Pakistan’s strong protest over ceasefire violations by the Indian occupation forces along the Line of Control on Wednesday.

In a statement, Foreign Office Spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri said one innocent civilian sustained seriously injuries in the indiscriminate and unprovoked firing by the Indian occupation forces in Tatta Pani Sector.

He said the Indian occupation forces along the LoC and the Working Boundary have been continuously targeting civilian populated areas with artillery fire, heavy-caliber mortars and automatic weapons. »

Beijing, November 17 (KMS): China has urged India and Pakistan to resolve the dispute over Jammu and Kashmir properly and peacefully in accordance with the UN Charter, relevant Security Council resolutions and bilateral agreements.

China’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman Zhao Lijian addressing a news conference in Beijing said, “China’s position on the Kashmir issue is consistent and clear. It is an issue left over from history between India and Pakistan which should be resolved properly and peacefully in accordance with the UN Charter, relevant Security Council resolutions and bilateral agreements.” »
