Srinagar, November 26 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders and activists staged candle light processions in various parts of Srinagar, last night, against the killing spree unleashed by Indian forces in the territory.

Call for protests was given by the Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik. »

Srinagar, November 03 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, Muhammad Yasin Malik, has urged the Kashmiri people to boycott the upcoming panchayat elections in the territory.

Muhammad Yasin Malik addressing a gathering at Makhdoom Sahib Shrine in Srinagar, today, said that India had always used the participation of people in the elections to hoodwink the international community about the Kashmir dispute and the prevailing situation of occupied Kashmir. »

Srinagar, September 16 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a delegation of Islamic Political Party Jammu and Kashmir visited the SMHS Hospital in Srinagar to inquire about the health of dozens of youth injured in pellet and bullet firing by forces personnel in Kulgam and Shopian.

The delegation comprised Showkat Ahmad Khan, Mohammad Ayoub Dar and Sajad Ahmad Lone on the occasion prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured. »

Srinagar, September 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM) has condemned the illegal detention of resistance leaders and activists and said that it was extremely unwise to deny political space and muzzle genuine voices of Kashmiris.

The JKSM spokesman in a statement in Srinagar denounced the authorities for creating chaos in the territory and said that party activists including Imtiyaz Ahmad and Abdul Rashid were arrested from the High Court. »

Srinagar, September 10 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir Tehreek-e-Hurriyat (TeH) Chairman, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik and Muslim Conference Chairman Shabbir Ahmad Dar visited the residence of martyred Hurriyat activist, Hakeemur Rehman Sultani at Bomai in Sopore and expressed condolences with his bereaved family members.

The leaders offered fateha for the departed soul. Ashraf Sehrai addresses mourners reiterated to continue the liberation struggle and said that the killing of Hurriyat activists by Indian agencies would not weaken Kashmiris’ commitment to the Kashmir cause. »

Srinagar, August 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops vandalized the house of a freedom activist in Arwini area of Bijbehara in Islamabad district.

The troops raided the house of Waris Ahmed, a resident of Rakh-e-Momin Arwani Bijbehara on the intervening night of Sunday and Monday and harassed the inmates. »

Addressing the interactive session on Kashmir organised by the Youth Forum for Kashmir (YFK) in connection with Kashmir’s Accession to Pakistan Day, the speakers called for a referendum in Jammu and Kashmir to allow the Kashmiris to decide their political future by themselves. »
