London, January 26 (KMS): Kashmir Campaign Global launched “Free Kashmir” campaign on a section of London transport network ahead of India’s Republic Day, the 26th January, which is observed as Black Day by Kashmiris and Sikhs across the world.

The Chairman of Kashmir Campaign Global, Zafar Qureshi, who hails from occupied Kashmir but lives permanently in London in exile, told mediamen in London that a series of campaigns would be conducted across the UK and other parts of the world throughout the year to create awareness about the Kashmir dispute. »

Many Gujjars injured in police action on protesters

Jammu, January 22 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, delegations of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement and Jammu and Kashmir Freedom Movement separately visited the family members of eight-year-old victim girl, Aasifa, at Heranagar in Kathua.

Aasifa was raped and killed a few days ago. Her body was found in a nearby forest. The delegations were led by Mir Shahid Saleem and Muhammad Sharif Sartaj. The leaders on the occasion condemned the incident and criticized police for its failure to take any action against the culprits. »

Islamabad, January 18 (KMS): The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) Chapter held a protest demonstration outside the Indian High Commission in Islamabad, today, against the Indian state terrorism and continued detention and house arrest of Hurriyat leaders in occupied Kashmir.

Addressing the demonstration, the speakers strongly condemned the arrest spree and other human rights violations by the troops in the occupied territory. They demanded of the international community to play role in granting the Kashmiris their inalienable right to self-determination. »

Jammu, January 17 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir People’s Movement, a constituent of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference, organised a meeting of like-minded people and groups in Jammu to discuss the prevailing situation in the territory.

APHC leader and JKPM Chairman Mir Shahid Saleem addressing on the occasion urged the participants to come forward and join the efforts being made under the leadership of resistance leadership for the peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

The participants made several suggestions and vowed to support the efforts being made for the settlement of the lingering Kashmir dispute.

Prominent among those who attended the meeting included Professor Muhammad Ayub Rahat Hussain, Muhammad Yousuf Lone, Professor Girdhari Lal, Master Mohan Lal, Narinder Khajuria, Dharam Pal Sharma, Nazir Ahmed Malik, Rajesh Sharma and Sheikh Ghulam Shah.

Mohammad Yousuf Naqash expressed grief and shock on the brutal killing of young woman and injuring dozens at Shopian and strongly condemned the inhuman and dastardly act of forces that have let loose the reign of terror. The cruel actions of forces are exposing the democratic claims of India in occupied Kashmir where freedom of assembly and expression is brutally suppressed using military might, he added. »

Srinagar, December 19 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front led by its vice Chairman, Master Muhammad Afzal, visited the family members of martyred Asif Iqbal at Thandipora in Kupwara.]

Asif Iqbal, a taxi driver by profession, was shot dead by the Indian troops while he was transporting a patient to hospital in Sopore on Saturday night.

Speaking to the mourners on the occasion, Master Muhammad Afzal said that brutal killing of innocent Asif Iqbal was another glaring example of Indian state terrorism in occupied Kashmir. “A sole bread-earner of the family has been killed with impunity and international community is maintaining criminal silence on such gruesome killings,” he deplored. »
