Hurriyat leaders express condolence with bereaved family

Srinagar, April 23 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the wife of illegally detained All Parties Hurriyat Conference leader, Ayaz Akbar, died in Srinagar after protracted illness.

The deceased, Rafeeqa Begum, was suffering from cancer for the last 8 years. She passed away on the intervening night of Thursday and Friday. Her funeral prayers were held, today, at her residence in Maloora HMT area of Srinagar.

Despite COVID-19 restrictions, hundreds of people including liberation leaders Noor Mohammad Kalwal, Muhammad Ahsan Untoo, Mohammad Yasin Butt, Muhammad Ashraf Laya, Syed Zahoor Gilani and Abdul Ghani Butt participated in her funeral prayers.

Ayaz Akbar is facing illegal detention in New Delhi’s Tihar Jail since 2017. »

Srinagar, April 21 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, posters with pictures of Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan, and Pak Army Chief, General Qamar Javed Bajwa, have appeared in Srinagar and other parts of the valley.

The posters released by Haq-e- Khudiradiat Forum said, “We, Kashmiris, are grateful to Pakistan for its political, diplomatic and moral support.” The posters also featured pictures of Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir Chairman Sheharyar Khan Afridi and other leaders. »

Srinagar, April 20 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders and organizations have paid glowing tributes to prominent martyred freedom leader, S Hameed Wani, on his martyrdom anniversary.

Indian police had arrested S Hamid Wani on April 18, 1998 in Soura area of Srinagar and killed him in custody. The Hurriyat leaders appealed to the world community and international human rights organisations to put pressure on India to settle the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the Kashmiris’ aspirations. »

Srinagar, April 19 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, posters continued to have appeared in different parts of the territory including Srinagar against Modi government’s efforts to promote Hindutva in IIOJK.

The posters displayed by Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Justice Party (JKDJP) said the struggle would continue till implementation of UN resolutions. India has been asked to reverse its decision of August 05, 2019 to maintain the disputed nature of Jammu and Kashmir. »

Jammu, April 17 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement (JKPM) has urged the Indian civil society to come forward in support of the people of Kashmir who are being subjected to the worst kind of state terrorism by the Modi-led Indian fascist regime.

Resistance leader and the JKPM Chairman, Mir Shahid Saleem speaking at a reception hosted in honour of great farmer leader, Rakesh Tikait and his colleagues in Jammu, said that the Indian fascist regime was snatching the political and democratic rights of the Kashmiri people. »

Srinagar, April 14 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, banners have appeared in Srinagar and other parts of the territory, reiterating the Kashmiris’ resolve that exercise of the right to self-determination is the only solution to the Kashmir dispute.

The banners displayed by the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation League, Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Justice Party and Jammu and Kashmir Justice and Peace Initiative in Srinagar, Soura, Lal Chowk, Aabi Guzar, Nowshera, Hawal, Zadibal and other areas of the territory state that Kashmir is not an internal matter of India or bilateral issue between Pakistan and India but an internationally recognized dispute. »

Srinagar, April 11 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Pastor Augustine, a representative of the Christian community in India, called on President of Anjuman Sharie Shian, Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi for inter-faith dialogue.

During the hour-long meeting, the delegation raised significant issues, as per a statement issued by the spokesperson for Anjuman Sharie Shian.

The statement said that the two sides were agreed that “Christianity and Islam, the world’s two largest religions, should talk together instead of being divided by hate and misunderstanding. »

Srinagar, April 11 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Youth Social and Justice League (JKYSJL) in a meeting in Srinagar strongly denounced the fresh bloodshed in the territory.

The meeting, chaired by party Chairman, Ahmed Malik and General Secretary, Sameena Bano, also expressed concern over the intentional collateral damage of properties as well as religious places by the troops. »

Srinagar, April 10 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Youth Social and Justice League (JKYSJL) has paid rich tributes to youth martyred by Indian troops in Shopian and Tral area of South Kashmir.

A JKYSJL delegation, led by party chairman, Ahmad Malik, visited the residences of martyred youth and expressed solidarity with their bereaved families.

Ahmad Malik, while speaking on the occasion, said, those fighting for their basic and fundamental rights are labeled as terrorists and gunned down day in and day out. »

Srinagar, April 10 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Justice Party (JKDJP) has paid glowing tributes to the youth recently martyred by Indian troops in Shopian, Pulwama, Islamabad and other areas of the territory.

The JKDJP at a party meeting in Srinagar chaired by Chairman Dr Imtiyaz Ahmad Baba denounced the Indian state terrorism in IIOJK and appealed to the United Nations and human rights organizations to take cognizance of the grave rights violations being perpetrated by Indian forces in the territory. »
