Flays Aasiya Andrabi’s illegal detention in Tihar jail

ISLAMABAD, January 04 (KMS): Federal Minister of Human Rights, Dr Shireen Mazari has said that the Narendra Modi government has violated Article 76 and 83 of the Geneva Convention by moving the Kashmiri Hurriyat activist, Aasiya Andrabi to Tihar jail in New Delhi.

Addressing a press briefing alongside Aasiya Andrabi’s son, Shireen Mazari said, called out the Indian government for committing war crimes by moving prisoners from Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir to India and violating the Geneva Convention through ill-treatment of women prisoners.

“Article 76 says that women shall be confined in separate quarters and shall be under the direct supervision of women… and the detainees have the right to be visited by the Red Cross but Indian authorities don’t even provide doctors,” said Mazari. “Andrabi and two other women with her are unwell but the Indian government is denying her medical assistance.” »

Srinagar, January 04 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Vice Chairman Ghulam Ahmad Gulzar in a letter to the UN General Secretary, António Guterres, said that people of Jammu and Kashmir seek his help and attention for settlement of the Kashmir dispute as World Body’s resolutions and aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

In the letter written on behalf of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, Ghulam Ahmad Gulzar said, “We also seek your legitimate and obligatory intervention to take needful steps to stop gruesome and brutal initiation of ethnic cleansing in Jammu and Kashmir by the Indian Hindu imperialism since August 5, 2019.” »

Srinagar, Jan 04 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Kashmiri brides from Azad Kashmir origin on Monday reiterated that Kashmir is not a safer place for them and demand repatriation to their homeland.

Addressing a news conference in Srinagar, the Kashmiri brides said, “We want the Government of India to allow us to return home to meet our dear ones there. The government has rejected us as citizens and it makes no sense for the authorities to stop us from deporting to our residential places,” they said. »

Jammu, January 03 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Jammu-based Jammu and Kashmir People’s Movement (JKPM) and Jammu and Kashmir Social Peace Forum have strongly condemned the killing of three innocent boys in a fake encounter by Indian troops in Srinagar on Wednesday.

The JKPM Chairman, Mir Shahid Saleem while speaking at a meeting in Jammu said Indian troops, who are enjoying impunity under draconian Armed Forces Special Powers Act ( AFSPA) are on a killing spree. He said the innocent killings in Kashmir have become an order of the day and there is no accountability of the troops’ actions. He said the forces would continue to kill people until they are enjoying impunity under the AFSPA. »

New Delhi, December 27 (KMS): Devinder Singh Behl, leader of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference and Chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir Social Peace Forum, has said that the fascist government of India has banned media freedom not only in occupied Jammu and Kashmir but across India as well.

Devinder Singh Behl while addressing protesting farmers in Delhi said that in fact Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working on the RSS agenda of Hindutva to wipe out all minorities from India and turn the country into a purely Hindu state. »

Srinagar, December 27 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir Ummat-e-Islami has denounced the frequent harassment of its Chairman, Qazi Yasir by Indian forces’ personnel saying that he has been harassed constantly since his release in May after nearly two years of detention.

Indian police have raided his house dozens of times during the night and harassed male and female members of the family. The Police have also raided the homes of his close associates and friends including the senior member of Ummat-e-Islami. »

Srinagar, December 20 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, a Tehreek-e-Muzahamat delegation led by party General Secretary, Muhammad Saleem Zargar, today, visited the residence of Hurriyat leader, Mushtaq Ahmed Kundu in Aanchaar area of Srinagar and expressed solidarity with him.

Indian police have summoned 16 years old son and 17 years old daughter of Mushtaq Ahmed Kundu to Humhama camp, Srinagar, for a social media post. They were harassed by Indian police. »
