Jammu, December 22 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir People’s Association (JKPA) has expressed anguish over the arrest spree unleashed by authorities terming it as colonial treatment of Kashmiris.

In a statement issued in Jammu, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir People’s Association (JKPA), Aquib Wani said that Kashmir is the only territory in the world which has been turned into an open prison where respect for the rights and liberties is almost zero. »

Srinagar, December 21 (KMS): Indian authorities detained two Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leaders in illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The PDP members, Sartaj Madani, uncle of Mehbooba Muft and Peer Mansoor were detained by the authorities on Monday.

The authorities in June this year had revoked black law PSA detention against the duo together alongside former IAS officer-turned-politician Shah Faisal. »

Srinagar, December 19 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, senior Hurriyat leader, Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori, has strongly condemned the arrest of Hurriyat leader, Mushtaq-ul-Islam.

Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori in a statement issued in Srinagar demanded release of Mushtaq-ul-Islam and other illegally detained Hurriyat leaders and activists languishing in different jails of India and the territory. »

Srinagar, December 15 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, International Forum for Justice and Human Rights Jammu and Kashmir Chairman, Mohammad Ahsan Untoo has expressed serious concern over the deteriorating health condition of Dukhtaran-e-Millat Chairperson Syeda Aasiya Andrabi languishing in Indian jail for the past four years.

Mohammad Ahsan Untoo in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Aasiya Andrabi who is currently imprisoned in New Delhi’s notorious Tihar jail is undergoing mental and physical trauma. She has developed many serious ailments while the authorities have denied basic health facilities to the detained Kashmiri woman leader. »

Srinagar, December 14 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian authorities arrested Hurriyat leader Mushtaq-ul-Islam in Srinagar, today.

The authorities raided the house of Mushtaq in Batamaloo in Srinagar and lodged him in Kothibagh police, Srinagar.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of Tehreek-e-Muzahamat, Bilal Ahmed Sidiqui in a statement issued in Srinagar strongly condemned the arrest of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League Chairman, Mushtaq-ul-Islam.

Terming the arrest as an act of political Vendetta, he said that pro-freedom leaders and activists cannot be coerced to surrender their will to fight illegal occupation and subjugation of New Delhi. »

New Delhi, December 07 (KMS): Indian police arrested three Kashmiri youth in Indian capital, New Delhi.

Delhi police claimed that the youth were arrested during a search operation after gunshots were heard in Shakarpore area of the city.

Police arrested three youth from IIOJK and two from Punjab, India.

Political analysts who keep a close watch on Narendra Modi regime’s latest moves say that the incident could have been the brainchild of the Hindutva mindset to defame Pakistan as well as freedom movement in Kashmir. »

Srinagar, December 04 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League has strongly condemned the continued illegal house detention of Hurriyat forum Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq.

The JKPL chief organizer, Dr Sarfaraz Ahmad Khan, in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has been under house detention since August 5, 2019 when the Indian government repealed Kashmir’s special status and imposed military siege in the territory. He deplored that the occupation authorities were not allowing the Mirwaiz to offer Friday prayers in Srinagar Jamia Masjid and had curbed his all social and political activities which was the worst kind of human rights violation. »

Srinagar, November 30 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian police arrested a youth in Kupwara district.

The youth was arrested by Indian police in Dragmulla area of the district.

The police also seized Rs 3.5 lakh cash from the youth, a senior police officer said.

On the other hand, an ailing Sub-Inspector of Indian Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) died under mysterious conditions in Damhal Hanjipora area of Kulgam district on Monday. »

Srinagar, November 28 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir International Forum for Justice and Human Rights Chairman, Mohammad Ahsan Untoo has strongly condemned the Indian occupational authorities for arresting pellet victims with serious health issues under draconian laws.

Mohammad Ahsan Untoo in a statement issued in Srinagar said, from 5th August 2019, twenty six such cases were reported by IFJHR in the territory.

Few among these pellet victims arrested by the brutal Indian forces include Mudassir Ahmad Dar, Altaf Hussain Mir, Danish Habib, Mohammad Aqib, Tawseef, Umar, Sameer Ahmed, Bilal Hajam, Abid Hussain, Farooq Sofi and Aijaz Ahmed Mir who are lodged in different jails for the past more than one year. »

Ban on high speed internet service extended

Srinagar, November 27 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian troops have intensified cordon and search operations across the territory and arrested hundreds of people ahead of so-called District Development Councils and Panchayat elections.

The polling for the first phase of the eight-phased elections for DDC and vacant seats of panchayat is being held tomorrow. Indian troops and police personnel have been carrying on CASOs in Srinagar, Badgam, Ganderbal, Baramulla, Bandipora, Kupwara, Pulwama, Islamabad, Kulgam, Shopian, Doda, Kishtwar, Samba, Poonch, Rajouri and other areas of the territory for the past several days. The residents of these areas told media that the troops have arrested hundreds of people during these operations. People staged a demonstration against arrest of youth in Dargam area of Pulwama. Indian police during a raid at the house of Ummat-e-Islami Chairman, Qazi Ahmed Yasir, in Islamabad town, harassed and misbehaved with his family members. »
