Srinagar, July 26 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian authorities have shifted the APHC General Secretary and Chairman of Democratic Freedom Party, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, to New Delhi from Srinagar. He was under continued house detention for the past several years.

Indian police had arrested Shabbir Ahmad Shah after raiding his Sanat Nagar residence in Srinagar, late last night, and lodged him at Humhama police station. The police shifted the APHC leader to New Delhi, today. »

Srinagar, July 26 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the puppet authorities have booked 29-year-old Atif Hassan, a resident of Islamabad district, under draconian law, Public Safety Act (PSA), and shifted to Kathua jail in Jammu.

Atif Hassan was arrested by Indian police two weeks back when he was coming out of Islamabad Court complex after a hearing into a false case registered against him. »

Srinagar, July 25 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the puppet authorities have once again booked the illegally detained All Parties Hurriyat Conference leader, Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori, under draconian law, Public Safety Act (PSA).

The 70-year-old leader has been lodged in Kot Bhalwal jail in Jammu for the past four months under the PSA. »

Srinagar, July 24 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian police arrested member of the so-called Kashmir Assembly, Engineer Abdur Rasheed after he led a protest in Lal Chowk area of Srinagar, today, against the thrashing of Kashmiri policemen by Indian Army personnel.

Eight policemen were injured after army soldiers thrashed them after barging into Gund police station in Ganderbal district on Friday night. »

Srinagar, July 10 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the High Court Bar Association (HCBA) has strongly condemned the arrest and detention of over 50 persons in Pulwama, Shopian, Islamabad and Kulgam areas and sealing of all entry points leading to Tral on the martyrdom anniversary of popular youth leader, Burhan Wani.

The HCBA in a statement issued in Srinagar also condemned the use of bullets and pellets against the civilians in Shopian, Islamabad and Tral who were peacefully trying to proceed to Tral. He said that bullets and pellets were fired on them, which caused injuries to more than 30 persons including eight women, who were later shifted to different hospitals. »

Srinagar, July 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, eminent religious scholar and the Chairman of Ummat-e-Islami, Qazi Yasir was arrested while going towards Tral from Pampore.

He was arrested near Awantipora by a joint team of police and Central Reserve Police Force.

Qazi Yasir had gone into a hiding after his house was raided couple of times after the killing of Bashir Ahmad Wani.

Srinagar, June 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian police arrested Hurriyat leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League (JKPL), Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, in Islamabad town, today.

The police took Mukhtar Ahmed Waza into custody from his residence in Kadipopra area and lodged him at Sherbagh police station in the town. He was scheduled to address a public gathering.

The JKPL spokesman in a statement in Srinagar strongly condemned the police action and said that the detention of the party Chairman ahead of Friday prayers reflected the RSS mindset which was being implemented in the territory.
