Srinagar, February 06 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, thousands of people attended the funeral prayers of two martyred youth in Islamabad and Budgam districts.

Indian troops martyred the youth, Khateebul Das and Zia-ur-Rehman, during a cordon operation in Lawaypora-Shalteng area of Srinagar on Wednesday.

As the bodies of martyrs, Khateebul Das and Zia-ur-Rehman, reached their native villages of Waghama in Islamabad, Lawypura in Srinagar and Ath in Budgam, thousands of people flocked there. People, shouting pro-freedom and anti-India slogans, took the martyrs’ bodies to the local graveyards where they were lowered into the graves amid sobs and tears.

Several mujahideen offered gun salute to Khateebul Das at Waghama by firing several rounds in the air, the locals told media men.

Srinagar, January 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a large number of people participated in the funeral of a Kashmiri youth, martyred by Indian troops in Kulgam district on Monday.

Indian troops martyred the youth, Shahid Ahmad, during a cordon and search operation in Arwani area of the district.

Despite heavy snow, hundreds of people attended the funeral of the martyred youth in the town. On the occasion, high-pitched pro-Pakistan, pro-freedom and anti-India slogans were raised. »

Jammu, January 21 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the prevention by the occupation authorities to offer condolences with the family members of martyr Haroon Abbas Wani triggered anti-India protest demonstration in Doda district.

Strict restrictions were imposed by the administration to disallow people from visiting the martyr’s residence in Furqan Abad area of Doda town.

The apathy of the occupational authorities forced the locals to gather outside the house of the martyr and staged a protest demonstration against India. A large number of people including men and women participated in the protest demonstration. They chanted anti-India, pro-freedom and pro-Pakistan slogans. »

Chirhoi (AJK), January 19 (KMS): A condolence conference was held in Chirhoi, Azad Kashmir, to pay tributes to Haron Abbas Wani, who was martyred by Indian troops in Doda area of occupied Kashmir, recently.

The conference was chaired by Muhammad Shabbir Wani, the uncle of the martyr.

Srinagar, January 16 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, thousands of people participated in the funeral of martyred MBA graduate, Haroon Abbas Wani, in Doda district, today.

Haroon Abbas Wani was martyred by Indian troops during a cordon and search operation in Gundana area of the district, yesterday.

Despite restrictions, people held massive protests in Doda town, demanding of the Indian police to hand over the dead body of the martyred youth. Hundreds of mourners including women took the body of the martyred from police station to his home. »

Indian police arrested 28 persons in IOK in last one month

Srinagar, November 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a group of mujahideen appeared in Litar area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district and offered gun salute to a martyred youth, Irfan Ahmed Rathar.

Irfan Ahmed Rathar along with another youth, Irfan Ahmed Sheikh was martyred by Indian troops during a cordon and search operation in Drabgam area of the district a couple of days ago.

Eyewitnesses told media men that a group of mujahideen emerged in Litar, the native village of Irfan Ahmed Rathar, and fired several rounds in air in his honour. They added that the mujahideen left the area before the arrival of Indian troops. »

Srinagar, November 19 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, four Indian soldiers and two civilian porters, were hit and killed by snow avalanche in Ladakh region.

A group of eight persons, including six soldiers from Dogra Regiment, was patrolling the area when the avalanche hit them at Siachen Glacier and killed 4 soldiers and 2 porters while two soldiers were lucky to survive the calamity.

A spokesperson for the Indian troops of Northern Command said the rescue teams from nearby posts were rushed to the location. All eight personnel were pulled out of the avalanche debris and taken to the nearest military hospital. The four soldiers and two porters succumbed to extreme hypothermia, said Col Rajesh Kalia, Srinagar-based spokesperson for the Indian Army. »

Dr Syed Abdul Rehman Gilani, who breathed his last after having suffered severe heart attack in New Delhi, was elder brother of APHC AJK Convener, Syed Abdullah Gilani. »
