Srinagar, July 13 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian media reported it was the first time since the Partition that no holiday and official functions were held to commemorate the Kashmir Martyrs’ Day on July 13, today.

Following the revocation of Article 370 on August 5, last year, India had issued a list of gazette holidays for the occupied territory, omitting July 13 from the list. »

Srinagar, June 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a delegation of Jammu Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM) visited the martyrs’ graveyard in Manchowa, Srinagar to pay tributes to the youth recently martyred by Indian troops.

The delegation was led by Muzaffar Jan while Shakir Ahmed, Ejaz Kashmiri, Javed Habib, and Ishaq Shah were also part of it.

The delegation on the occasion said that despite the Indian atrocities, the people of the territory have continued their liberation struggle and would take it to its logical end. »

 Asks for raising of ‘Azan’ after Isha prayers on Sunday

Srinagar, May 09 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has appealed to the people to continue protest demonstrations against the killing of top mujahid commander, Riyaz Naikoo, and other youth by Indian troops.

The APHC in its protest calendar has also asked the people to raise Call for Prayers [azan] on their rooftops after Isha prayers on Sunday to invoke Allah’s help for the emancipation from Indian occupation and coronavirus. It also called for holding of special prayers in the houses of martyrs on Monday and asked APHC leaders and activists to ensure their participation in these gatherings to express solidarity with the bereaved families.

People held forceful demonstrations in Pulwama, Badgam and other areas against the killing of Riyaz Naikoo and other youth by Indian troops. Indian police and paramilitary personnel subjected the protesters to brute force and firing of pellets and bullets, injuring several of them. »

Srinagar, April 26 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, in a new development quite in violation of the international law, Indian police have decided that the bodies of the Kashmiri martyred youth would not be handed over to their families.

The authorities have started quietly burying the bodies of local youth at faraway places in unmarked graves, under the supervision of a magistrate in order to avoid massive participation of the locals in the funerals of the martyrs. Such participation is considered to be an honour for the local population. »

Srinagar, April 09 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, thousands of people participated in the funeral of martyred Sajjad Nawaz Dar in Sopore town.

The body of the martyred youth was recovered from the debris of a resident house which was burnt and destroyed by Indian troops in Arampora Mohalla of the town.

Despite restrictions and coronavirus infection threat, thousands of people, mostly youth and women, joined the funeral of the martyred youth in his native Saidepora area in the town. »

Srinagar, March 10 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, thousands of people defying curfew and other restrictions participated in funeral prayers of two martyred youth in Kulgam and Shopian districts.

The youth identified as Shabbir Ahmed Malik and Aamir Ahmed Dar were killed by Indian troops during a violent cordon and search operation in Ribbon area of Shopian district. Shabbir Ahmed Malik was a resident of Tingdo Kulgam and Amir Ahmed Dar belonged to Vindona area of Shopian. The troops also destroyed a house with mortar shells during the operation. »

Srinagar, February 06 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, thousands of people attended the funeral prayers of two martyred youth in Islamabad and Budgam districts.

Indian troops martyred the youth, Khateebul Das and Zia-ur-Rehman, during a cordon operation in Lawaypora-Shalteng area of Srinagar on Wednesday.

As the bodies of martyrs, Khateebul Das and Zia-ur-Rehman, reached their native villages of Waghama in Islamabad, Lawypura in Srinagar and Ath in Budgam, thousands of people flocked there. People, shouting pro-freedom and anti-India slogans, took the martyrs’ bodies to the local graveyards where they were lowered into the graves amid sobs and tears.

Several mujahideen offered gun salute to Khateebul Das at Waghama by firing several rounds in the air, the locals told media men.

Indian troops martyred the youth, Shahid Ahmad, during a cordon and search operation in Arwani area of the district.

Despite heavy snow, hundreds of people attended the funeral of the martyred youth in the town. On the occasion, high-pitched pro-Pakistan, pro-freedom and anti-India slogans were raised. »

Jammu, January 21 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the prevention by the occupation authorities to offer condolences with the family members of martyr Haroon Abbas Wani triggered anti-India protest demonstration in Doda district.

Strict restrictions were imposed by the administration to disallow people from visiting the martyr’s residence in Furqan Abad area of Doda town.

The apathy of the occupational authorities forced the locals to gather outside the house of the martyr and staged a protest demonstration against India. A large number of people including men and women participated in the protest demonstration. They chanted anti-India, pro-freedom and pro-Pakistan slogans. »
