Srinagar, February 15 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, thousands of people in Pulwama attended the funeral prayers in absentia for a youth, Aadil Ahmed Dar, who got martyred in an explosion on Srinagar-Jammu Highway.

Over 40 Indian troops were killed and dozens others injured in the blast, which took place in Lethpora area of Pulwama, yesterday.

Thousands of people marched from different villages of south Kashmir towards Gandi Bagh, the native village of Aadil Ahmed Dar, and participated in his funeral prayers in absentia.

Srinagar, February 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, thousands of mourners braving the biting cold thronged Begumbagh area of Pulwama district, today, and participated in the funeral prayers of a martyred youth, Hilal Ahmed Rathar.

The youth was martyred by Indian troops during a violent cordon and search operation in Ratnipora area of the district, today.

As the body of Hilal Ahmed Rathar reached his native village of Begumbagh, thousands of mourners converged there to participate in his last rites.

Multi-rounds of funeral prayers were held for the martyred youth. He was buried amid high-pitched anti-India and pro-freedom slogans.

Srinagar, February 07 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, thousands of people participated in funeral prayers of martyred youth, Irfan Ahmed Shaikh, at Chakoora in Pulwama district, today.

Braving heavy snow, people thronged Chakoora and attended the funeral prayers of martyr Irfan.

Four rounds of funerals prayers were held for the youth, who was killed by Indian troops during a cordon and search operation at Chakoora, yesterday. He was buried amid massive pro-freedom and anti-India slogans.

Meanwhile, complete shutdown was observed in Chakoora and adjoining areas of the district to mourn the killing of Irfan Ahmed Shaikh. »

To accommodate the huge rush of people, multiple funeral prayers were held for Dr Shamsul Haq Mengnoo, Shoaib Ahmed Shah and Amir Sohail Butt in Draggad and Shirmal areas of Shopian and for Syed Rubaan Shah, Sabzar Ahmad Mir and Towseef Ahmad Itoo in Lassipora and Nowpora Payeen areas of Pulwama district. The troops martyred the youth, Touseef Ahmed Thoker, Zubair Ahmed Butt and Shakoor Ahmed Parray, during a cordon and search operation at Gulshan Pora in Tral area of the district, yesterday.

Srinagar, December 31 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a 10-year-old boy who was killed in a mysterious blast was laid to rest amid pro-freedom slogans at the local martyrs’ graveyard at Larew in Kakapora area of Pulwama district.

Arif Ahmad Dar, son of Abdul Ghani, was fatally injured after he was fiddling with some explosive material in an orchard at Gadoora village of Pulwama district. Soon after the blast, he was shifted to District Hospital, Pulwama. He was referred to SMHS Hospital in Srinagar, where he later succumbed to his injuries. »

A sea of people including women and children marched with the bodies of young martyrs — Mudasir Rasheed Parray and Saqib Bilal Sheikh through the streets raising pro-freedom and anti-India slogans in the town.
