Sea of people turn up for PhD scholar’s funeral

Srinagar, September 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, thousands of people attended the funeral prayers of Furqan and Liaqat, who were martyred by Indian troops during a cordon and search operation at Guloora in Handwara area of Kupwara district, yesterday.

Funerals of the two martyrs were offered in their native areas in Langate and Sopore. A large number of people from Langate, Sopore and adjoining areas assembled in the respective places to pay tributes to the martyrs. Bilal Ahmed along with another youth, Zahoor Ahmed, was killed by Indian troops during a cordon and search operation in Khumriyal area of the district, yesterday.

Despite the restrictions imposed by the occupation authorities, thousands of people participated in the funeral prayers of Bilal Ahmed at his ancestral Shatmuqam village in Lolab, today. They raised high-pitched pro-freedom and anti-India slogans. »

Srinagar, July 10 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, thousands of people, today, participated in the funeral prayers of martyr 11th class student Ubaid Manzoor Lone at Nadihal Sopore in Baramulla district.

Ubaid was injured in the firing of Indian troops during a protest demonstration on Baramulla-Handwara highway on June 25. After battling for his life for 15 days at Soura Institute of Medical Sciences, he breathed his last on Tuesday morning. »

Around six rounds of the funeral were held for the martyr in a vast ground at Sopat-Tangpora in Devsar area of the district. The ground could hold over thirty thousand people at a time. »

Srinagar, June 06 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, thousands of people chanting anti-India and pro-freedom slogans attended the funeral of two youth, Mudassir Ahmed and Sheraz Ahmed, in Kulgam and Pulwama areas, today.

Mudassir Ahmed and Sheraz Ahmed, residents of Parigam in Kulgam and Lajoora in Pulwama, were killed by the Indian troops in a fake encounter in Tangdhar area of Kupwara on May 26.
