One lac people attend Ittoo’s funeral

Srinagar, August 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Pakistan’s Independence Day was celebrated with the singing of Pakistan’s national anthem and shouting of “Long Live Pakistan” slogans in Srinagar, Shopian, Islamabad, Pulwama, Kulgam, Badgam and other districts of the territory, today.

Special prayers were offered for safety and integrity of Pakistan and freedom of Jammu and Kashmir from illegal occupation of India. Dukhtaran-e-Millat arranged Independence Day functions in several areas of the territory. Parades were held while Pakistan flag was hoisted in the length and breadth of the territory. Syed Ali Gilani, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Masarrat Aalam Butt, Aasiya Andrabi, Dr Qasim Faktoo and others in their messages greeted the people and the Government of Pakistan on the Day. Syed Ali Gilani said that the Kashmiris were highly grateful to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan for extending its wholehearted moral, political and diplomatic support to their just cause of freedom. He said that Pakistan was the only hope for the people of Jammu and Kashmir. »

Srinagar, August 10 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, thousands of people participated in the separate funerals of martyrs Zahid Ahmad Butt, Ishaq Ahmed, Muhammad Ashraf Dar, and a 17-year young boy Muhammad Younus Sheikh in Tral areas, today.

The funerals were offered in Nawdal, Batgund, Trich and Saimoh areas of Tral town. The martyrs were laid to rest amid pro-freedom and anti-India slogans. Complete shutdown was observed in the Puwlama district in protest against the killings. Mobile service has also remained suspended in the district for the second day today. »

Srinagar, July 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, thousands of people, today, participated in multi-rounds of funeral prayers of youth, martyred by Indian troops during a siege and search operation in Badgam district.

The youth identified as Aaqib Gul, Javaid Ahmad Shiekh and Sajjad Ahmad Gilkar were martyred in a night-long violent operation of Indian forces in Radbugh village of Badgam district, last night. Aaqib and Sajjad belonged to Srinagar while Tafazul Islam alias Javid Sheikh hailed from Beerwah area of Badgam district. The killings triggered spontaneous shutdown in Srinagar and Badgam areas. Clashes erupted between youth and Indian forces’ personnel on the Airport road in Srinagar. Youth hurled rocks on the police and paramilitary personnel. The troops fired teargas shells on the protesting youth. »

Srinagar, July 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, dozens of civilians, including nine women, mostly with pellets, were injured when Indian troops used force on protesters outside a mosque in Reshi area of Shopian district.

The forces were trying to stop reverberating of pro-freedom songs being played on mosque loudspeakers in the town. Police fired pellets on people to stop them from advancing. “Nine women were injured in police action. One of wounded women has been referred to Srinagar for specialized treatment as she is feared to have received pellets in her eye.” »

Srinagar, July 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, thousands of people attended multiple funeral prayers of Bashir Ahmed Wani in his ancestral Kokernag area of Islamabad district, today.

Bashir Wani along with his associate, Azad Ahmed Malik, was martyred by Indian troops during a violent siege and search operation in Dialgam area of the district, yesterday. He was buried amid emotionally-charged atmosphere at Soafshali in Kokernag, today. »

Srinagar, June 22 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, multiple funerals, with participation by tens of thousands of people, were held for three youth killed by Indian troops in Kakapora area of Pulwama district, late night.

The bodies of three youth identified as Abdul Majid, Shariq Ahmad and Irshad Ahmad were recovered from the debris of a house destroyed by the troops during crackdown operation at Kakpora in the district, this morning. »

Visits family over demise of three martyrs’ father

Srinagar, June 13 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik, has said that the Kashmiris are striving for a just cause and history bears witness to the fact that freedom struggles could not be defeated by oppressive regimes.

Yasin Malik said this while addressing a meeting organized in South Kashmir’s Islamabad district to pay tributes to veteran social figure Abdul Majeed Butt, the father of martyr Manzoorul Islam, martyr Sajjad Ahmad and father-in-law of martyr Hilal Ahmad Misgar. Abdul Majeed Butt passed away a few days ago in Islamabad. »

Srinagar, June 07 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, thousands of people participated in the funeral prayers of a 12th class student, Aadil Farooq Magray, in Shopian.

Adil Farooq Magray was killed in the firing of Indian forces’ personnel on peaceful protesters in Ganowpora in Shopian on Tuesday evening.

Thousands of people offered funeral prayers of the martyred student twice before he was laid to rest amidst wet eyes, high-pitched pro-freedom sloganeering and emotional scenes. Son of a farmer, Adil Farooq, was hit by a bullet after Indian forces opened fire on protesters during a military operation in Ganowpora area of Shopian. »
