Srinagar, December 12 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the spokesman of High Court Bar Association, Ghulam Nabi Shaheen, has said that judges in the territory have stopped acting independently since the August 2019 clampdown imposed by the Indian government.

Ghulam Nabi Shaheen said this while reacting to the reports that a principal sessions judge in Srinagar has passed an order complaining that a high court judge obstructed him from granting bail to an individual, raising questions over the judiciary’s functioning in IIOJK post-August 05, 2019. »

Srinagar, December 12 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders including Javaid Ahmed Mir, Firdous Ahmed Shah and Nisar Hussain Rathar, appeared before a TADA court in Srinagar in a 13 years old fake case registered against them.

The fake case was filed against them in Khanyar police, Srinagar, on July 13, 2007.
It is to mention here that the Narendra Modi-led communal Indian government is continuously using its judiciary against Hurriyat leaders and activists to suppress the Kashmiris’ freedom movement. »

Srinagar, December 12 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the authorities have once again extended till December 25 the ban on high speed internet which was imposed on 5th August, 2019 when Narendra Modi-led fascist government repealed the special status of the territory and placed it under strict military siege.

The residents of the territory continue to suffer immensely in the times of coronavirus pandemic due to continued blockade of high speed internet service. When the entire world is relying on the latest means of communications particularly internet to remain aware of the situation caused by the COVID-19, the people of IIOJK have been kept deprived of this basic facility for the past over 16 months.

Kashmir High Court Bar Association spokesman, Ghulam Nabi Shaheen, in an interview in Srinagar said the judges in IIOJK have stopped acting independently since the August 2019 clampdown imposed by the Indian government. »

Srinagar, December 12 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Society Forum (JKCSF) has expressed concern over the eviction of people living in forest areas of the territory.

The JKCSF Chairman, Abdul Qayoom Wani, in a statement issued in Srinagar, asked the authorities to take the people of the territory on board before taking decisions on the future of its real estate – land, water and forests. He said the real estate of IIOJK belongs to the people of the territory by virtue of its history, heritage and ownership. »

Srinagar, December 11 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has urged the international community to take cognizance of the Indian brutalities in the territory and play its role in resolving the Kashmir dispute to mitigate the sufferings of Kashmiri people.

The APHC spokesman in a statement in Srinagar said the world must realize the fact that Narendra Modi-led fascist regime is subjecting the Indian minorities and Kashmiris to the worst kinds of atrocities. He maintained that Modi government was also targeting the human rights organizations for highlighting the victimization of Indian minorities and Kashmiris. He pointed out that reprisals from the Modi regime forced the Amnesty International to halt its operations in India.

Meanwhile, protests broke out in Woolina Ichgam area of Badgam district after a woman was injured by a bullet fired from the nearby firing range of the Indian Air Force. The protestors blocked the main road and demanded strict action against the guilty and closure of the firing range. The families of three Kashmiris detained by Delhi Police’s Special Cell last week in the Indian capital also staged a protest at Press Enclave in Srinagar, demanding release of their loved ones. »

Srinagar, December 11 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the General Secretary of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC), Molvi Bashir Ahmad Irfani, has said that India has always deceived the United Nations through lies and propaganda to cover up the truth.

Molvi Bashir Ahmad Irfani in a statement issued in Srinagar said the ugly face of India was exposed to the world by the former US President, Barrack Obama, when he mentioned in his book the Indian animosity against Pakistan and prevailing extremism in India. He said, it is now clear to the whole world that for the last many years India has been deceiving the world by resorting to lies.

The APHC General Secretary said, now the international community should know that Indian forces are involved in the massacre of innocent people in IIOJK and the victimization of minorities in India and the anti-Muslim riots in New Delhi, earlier this year, depict the same. »

Srinagar, December 11 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, protests broke out in Badgam district after a woman was injured by a bullet fired from the nearby firing range of the Indian Air Force.

Some shots were fired from the firing range that hit the roofs of houses in Woolina Ichgam area of the district in which a woman identified as Fatima received a bullet injury in her leg.

While the lady was shifted to district hospital Badgam, spontaneous protests broke out in the area against the Indian forces. The protestors blocked the main road connecting Doodpathri and Chadoora with Badgam and demanded strict action against the guilty and closure of nearby firing range. »

India Failing on Kashmiri Human Rights | Human Rights Watch

Islamabad, December 10 (KMS): As the World Human Rights Day is being observed across the globe, today, Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir continues to reel under brutal Indian occupation.

A report released by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service on the occasion of the World Human Rights Day, today, said that Universal Declaration of Human Rights on 10 December 1948 was indeed a milestone, but the Kashmiris human rights continued to be violated with impunity. It said among 30 basic human rights enlisted in the UDHR, not even one exists in IIOJK.

The report said that Indian occupational forces had been violating the UDHR in the occupied territory for the last over 7 decades and mercilessly killing, arresting, torturing and humiliating innocent Kashmiris of every age and gender for demanding their right to self-determination. »
