Endorses OHCHR’S report, seeks inquiry into HR abuses in IOK

New York, September 27 (KMS): The Organization of Islamic Cooperation has called for holding of impartial plebiscite in Jammu and Kashmir in accordance with the relevant resolutions of the United Nations Security Council.

The demand was raised during the meeting of the OIC Contact Group on Jammu and Kashmir on the sidelines of the ongoing session of the UN General Assembly in New York. The meeting chaired by OIC Secretary General, Dr Yousef bin Ahmad Al-Othaimeen, focused on the unabated acts of aggression against innocent Kashmiri civilians and gross human rights violations by Indian troops. »

Restrictions in Srinagar to prevent demos

Srinagar, September 27 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh acts of state terrorism martyred four Kashmiris in Srinagar, Badgam and Islamabad districts.

The troops opened fire on the house of Muhammad Yaqoob Malik during a cordon and search operation in Noorbagh area of Srinagar in the wee hours today, resulting in the killing of his son, Muhammad Saleem Malik. The troops killed two youth at Panzan in Badgam and one in Dalwach Dooru area of Islamabad during similar operations. Earlier, an Indian soldier was killed in an attack in Dalwach Dooru. »

Families of three slain youth refute Indian Army’s claim

Srinagar, September 25 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, normal life remained crippled in Bandipore district of north Kashmir for the fifth consecutive day today, against the killing of five youth by Indian troops.

The troops killed two youth on Thursday and three others on Friday during a prolonged cordon and search operation in Sumlar area of the district.

All shops and business establishments remained closed in the district while a thin movement of private vehicles was witnessed on roads. »

Srinagar, September 25 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred three Kashmiri youth in Sopore town, today.

The troops killed the youth during a cordon and search operation in Tujjer Sharief area of the town.

The occupation authorities suspended mobile internet service across the town and ordered closure of all educational institutions in sub-division Sopore.

Meanwhile, dead body of 30-year-old Zahoor Ahmed Dar was recovered from Balahama area on the outskirts of the Srinagar city.

Srinagar, September 24 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred three more youth in Kupwara district, taking the toll to five in less than past twenty four hours.

Three youth were killed by the troops during violent cordon and search operations in Tangdhar area of the district on Monday, while two youth were killed on Sunday, bringing the toll to five in two days.

Earlier, an Indian army man was also killed in an attack in the same area.

The Indian army said that the operation was going on in the area.

Srinagar, September 21 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the authorities have imposed curfew-like restrictions in Srinagar to prevent people from taking out Ashura processions.

Restrictions have been imposed in the areas falling under the jurisdictions of Nowhatta, Khanyar, Safa Kadal, Maharaj Gunj, Kothibagh and Rainawari police stations to prevent the Ashura processions. »
