Indian Charge d’Affaires Gaurav Ahluwalia was summoned by Director General South Asia Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri to register Pakistan’s strong protest over the ceasefire violations by Indian occupation forces along the Line of Control in Dhudnial, Rakhchikri, Chirikot and Baroh Sectors, resulting in the killing of a child and serious injuries to four innocent civilians. »

Srinagar, April 13 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a former Indian soldier succumbed to his bullet injuries in a hospital in Srinagar, today.

The retired Indian Territorial Army (TA) soldier identified as Abdul Hamid Mantoo was shot at and critically injured in an attack by unknown gunmen in Buchroo area of Kulgam district.

He was shifted to 92 base hospital in Srinagar for treatment and succumbed to his injuries in the hospital. »

Srinagar, April 11 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops have martyred 93 Kashmiris including 3 women during the past 250 days of siege and lockdown in the territory.

According to a report released by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service on the completion of 250 days of unrelenting military siege and lockdown, today, since India had revoked the special status of occupied Kashmir on 5th August, last year, at least 963 people were critically injured due to use of brute forces, firing of bullets, pellets and teargas shells on peaceful demonstrators by Indian military, paramilitary and police personnel in the occupied territory. »

Srinagar, April 10 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, senior resistance leader and General Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Political Front (PPF), Abdul Majeed Wani, passed away in Srinagar after prolonged illness on Thursday night.

Abdul Majeed Wani was suffering from lungs infection since long and breathed his last at Soura Institute of Medical Sciences in Srinagar. He was affiliated with the freedom movement of Kashmir from his youth and was known as a committed and dedicated resistance leader.

Hurriyat leaders, Professor Abdul Ghani Butt, Molvi Mohammad Abbas Ansari,, Fazalul Haq Qurashi, Muhammad Musadiq Aadil, Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori, Mukhtar Ahmed Waza, Hassan-ul-Bana, Syed Aijaz Rehmani and Zahid Ashraf in their statements expressed profound grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Abdul Majeed Wani. They paid glowing tributes to him and termed him as a very sincere, dedicated and selfless freedom leader.

Srinagar, April 06 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, eight Indian soldiers including a Junior Commission Officer (JCO) were killed in an attack during an ongoing military operation in Kupwara district.

India’s Defence Ministry Spokesman Colonel Rajesh Kalia in a statement in Srinagar confirmed the killings and injuries to several others. »

Srinagar, April 04 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred four Kashmiri youth in Kulgam district, today.

The troops martyred the youth during a cordon and search operation in Hardmanguri area of the district, early morning today. Earlier, two Indian troops were injured in an attack in the same area. The operation continued till last reports came in.

An Indian police official claimed that the youth were militants and were killed in an encounter with the troops. »

Srinagar, April 02(KMS): In occupied Kashmir, unknown gunmen shot dead two persons in Kulgam district.

The gunmen fired upon Ghulam Hassan Wagay and Sirajudin Khatana in Nandimarg area of the district killing them on the spot.

Meanwhile, panic gripped when locals saw body of a man identified as Shamus-ud-Din Khatana lying on the road in Mughal Mohalla near Islamia College in Nowhatta area of Srinagar.

Srinagar, April 01 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their continued acts of state terrorism martyred nine (9) Kashmiris during the last month of March.

According to the data issued by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service, one woman was rendered widowed due to the killing of her husband by the troops.

During the period, at least seven (7) people were injured in the use of brute force on peaceful protesters by Indian police and troops.

Indian police and paramilitary personnel arrested eight hundred and six (806) people including Hurriyat activists and youth during three hundred and ninety four (394) cordon and search operations in different areas of the territory. The troops also destroyed two (2) residential houses in the month.

Srinagar, March 31 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a 28-year-old injured youth succumbed to his bullet injuries in a hospital in Srinagar, today.

The youth was seriously injured after being shot at and critically injured by unidentified gunmen, last week, at Turigam in Kulgam district, and succumbed at Soura Institute of Medical Sciences in Srinagar. »
