Srinagar, March 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a civilian was killed after he was fired upon by unknown gunmen in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

A police officer told media that unidentified gunmen fired at Merajuddin Butt in Redwani area of the district. He said that Merajuddin, a rickshaw driver by profession, suffered serious bullet wounds and was shifted to Primary Health Centre (PHC) Qaimoh for treatment.

A doctor at the PHC Qaimoh said that the man had suffered five bullet wounds in his arms and legs. »

Islamabad, March 26 (KMS): The mother of Arif Hussain, an Editor of Kashmir Media Service, has passed away in Mardan city of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. She was 73.

The deceased was suffering from various ailments and breathed her last on Wednesday.

She was laid to rest at her ancestral graveyard in Mardan city. »

Jammu, March 20 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, India’s National Investigation Agency (NIA) today presented challan against eight Kashmiris in a false case on the charges of killing of RSS leader Chanderkant Sharma and his Personel Security Officer, Rajinder Kumar, in Kishtwar.

The challan was produced against Osama Bin Javed, Haroon Abbas Wani, Zahir Hussain, Nishad Ahmed Butt, Nishar Ahmed Sheikh, Azad Hussain Bagwan, Rustam Ali and others. »

Hyderabad (India), March 14 (KMS): A 22-year-old Kashmiri student was found dead under mysterious circumstances at Hyderabad University in India.

The deceased was identified as Asrar Bashir, a resident of Achahipora locality of Islamabad town of occupied Kashmir. He was a B-Tech 6th semester student at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University in Hyderabad. »

Srinagar, March 13 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred one Kashmiri youth in Baramulla district, today.

The troops martyred the youth during a cordon and search operation in Shutloo area of the district. The operation continued till last reports came in.

An Indian police officer talking to media claimed that the youth was a militant and was killed in an encounter with the troops.

Srinagar, March 07 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, one civilian was killed and another injured in a grenade blast in Srinagar.

Two civilians identified as Ghulam Nabi Ahanger, a retired PDD employee from Zainakdal, and Rafiq Ahmed Shala of Nawakadal, received injuries when an unknown person lobbed a grenade towards a bunker of Indian paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) at Maharaj Gunj in Srinagar. They were shifted to SMHS Hospital where Ghulam Nabi Ahanger succumbed to his injuries.

Soon after the attack, Indian troops and police personnel cordoned off the area and launched a hunt to nab the attacker. »

Srinagar, March 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops have martyred 74 Kashmiris including 3 women and 4 young boys during the ongoing 7-month long siege and lockdown in the territory.

According to a report released by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service, today, on the completion of seven months of unrelenting military lockdown, today, of those martyred 7 youth were killed in fake encounters or custody. India had revoked the special status of occupied Kashmir on 5th August, last year, and put the territory under military siege. »

Srinagar, February 22 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a local court in Srinagar has adjourned the hearing in the killing of teenager, Tufail Mattoo, till April 11.

Tufail, a student of 12th class, was killed by Indian troops in Srinagar on June 11 in 2010 when he was returning home from tuition. His killing had triggered massive anti-India demonstrations in the territory and over 120 protesters were martyred by Indian troops and police personnel within a period of three months. »

Srinagar, February 20 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, 70 Kashmiris including two women and four young boys were martyred by Indian troops during the last 200 days of military siege in the territory.

According to the data issued by Research Section of Kashmir Media Service, of those martyred, 11 were killed in fake encounters or custody. At least 942 Kashmiris were critically injured in the firing of bullets, pellets and teargas shells on peaceful demonstrators by Indian military, paramilitary and police personnel in the occupied territory since August 5, 2019 till date. »
