Srinagar, May 18 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, residents of Dalipora area of Pulwama have said that Indian troops used a civilian Rayees Ahmed Dar and his brother as human shields during a cordon and search operation.

Rayees Ahmed Dar was martyred and his brother, Younis Ahmed Dar, was injured in the firing of the troops during a cordon and search operation on Thursday. The 55-year-old Rayees Ahmed Dar led prayers at the local mosque in Dalipora and taught children Quran in the evenings.

“He was the son every parent would be proud of,” said a neighbour. “It is heart-wrenching that he has been cruelly snatched from his parents,” he added. »

Srinagar, May 18 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the family of a civilian, Ishtiaq Ahmad Wani, who was killed during a cordon and search operation in Hendew area of Shopian, has said that their son was shot dead by Indian troops in custody.

Ishtiaq Ahmad Wani, 24, was killed by the troops during a cordon and search operation in Hendew on Thursday.

Ishtiaq as per the family was a simple farmer and was arrested first and then killed in cold blood. »

Srinagar, May 18 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh acts of state terrorism martyred four Kashmiri youth in Pulwama and Baramulla districts.

The troops martyred three youth during a cordon and search operation in the wee hours, today, in Bunpora Panzgam area of Pulwama district. The troops also blasted a house in the area with explosive material. The slain youth were identified as Showkat Ahmed Dar, Irfan Ahmed and Muzaffar Ahmed.

The troops martyred one more youth during a similar operation in Hatlangoo area of Sopore in Baramulla district.

Meanwhile, forceful demonstrations erupted at Panzgam against the killing of the youth. Youth hit the streets and started pelting stones on the Indian forces to disperse them. The forces’ personnel fired teargas shells to chase away the youth, triggering clashes. »

Jammu, May 16 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, curfew was imposed in Bhaderwah town of Jammu region following violent protests triggered by the killing of a Muslim youth by Hindu extremists.

Relatives of the deceased Nayeem Shah said that he was a victim of cow vigilantism. Nayeem was shot dead by the Hindu extremists at Nalti Pul in the town, last night.

Soon after the incident, people took to the streets and staged demonstrations against the killing. Indian police used brute force and fired teargas shells to disperse the protesters. »

Authorities impose curfew in Pulwama

Srinagar, May 16 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh acts of state terrorism martyred five Kashmiri youth in Pulwama and Baramulla districts.

The troops martyred three youth, Naseer Pandit, Umar Mir and Khalid Ahmed, and destroyed a residential house during a cordon and search operation (CASO) in Dalipora area of Pulwama district in wee hours, today. Another youth identified as Rayees Ahmed Dar was martyred and his brother, Younis Ahmed Dar, was injured in the firing of the troops in the area. They are believed to be the sons of the house owner. Earlier, one Indian soldier was killed and two others were critically injured in the same area. The operation was going on till last report came in. »

On the other hand, the Chairman of Tehreek-e-Muzahamat, Bilal Ahmed Siddiqi, in a statement in Srinagar paid glowing tributes to Shaheed Latif Chacha on his 29th martyrdom anniversary and termed him as a true son of soil and a great soldier of freedom struggle. Latif Chacha was martyred by Indian troops on May 10 in 1990.

Srinagar, May 09 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, semi-decomposed bodies were recovered from Sopore and Poonch areas.

The locals spotted a body floating in a nullah at Mal Ganipora in Sopore and informed the police station concerned.

Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Sopore, Javid Iqbal, told media that the body was retrieved from Pohru Nullah. “A magazine pouch was also found tied with the body,” he said. »

Srinagar, April 25 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred two Kashmiri youth including a Physiotherapist, Dr Burhan-ud-Din Ganai, in Bijbehara area of Islamabad district, today.

Dr Burhan-ud-Din Ganai and another youth Safdar Amin were martyred by the troops during a cordon and search operation at Bagender Mohalla in Bijbehara.

A police official talking to media men said that the youth were militants and were killed in an encounter with the troops. He said that the bodies of the youth were retrieved from the site of clash. “Further search in the area is going on,” the police official added. »

Jammu, April 24 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, dead body of a Muslim youth was found under mysterious circumstances in Bhaderwah area of Jammu region, today.

The deceased has been identified as Asif Khan, a resident of Chinote area of Bhaderwah. His body was found near Information Office building at Pasri bus stand in Bhaderwah town, this morning.

It is worth mentioning here that bodies of Muslim youth are frequently found in Doda, Kishtwar, Ramban, Poonch and Rajouri districts of Jammu region under mysterious conditions.

It is feared that Hindu extremist organizations, Indian armed forces and so-called village defense committees are targeting Muslim youth of the region under a plan.
