Srinagar, January 07 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism, martyred a Kashmiri youth in Pulwama district, today.

The youth was killed by Indian troops during cordon and search operation in Charsoo-Awantipora area of the district on.

In a statement on Twitter, police said that one militant was killed in a gunfight in Charsoo village of the district. “The operation is going on,” it said.

JNU students union president, among many injured

New Delhi, January 06 (KMS): Armed with hammers, rods, draggers, sticks and stones, the goons associated with the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party broke into Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) campus, last evening, brutally assaulting students and teachers and damaging property with the Delhi police fully supporting the attackers.

Videos of students and teachers being attacked by the goons wielding sticks, hammers and rods and stones surfaced around 7 pm. The attackers started beating whosever came in their way. Dozens of the injured students, including 30 critically, were admitted to the hospitals in Delhi. JNU Students’ Union President Aishe Ghosh is also among the injured students. JNU Registrar issued a statement asking the JNU community to be alert.

“There is a law and order situation on the JNU campus. Masked miscreants armed with sticks are roaming around damaging property and attacking people…,” university registrar said. »

Jammu, January 03 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, four Indian soldiers, including a lieutenant, were critically injured in a landmine blast in Rajouri district, today.

A landmine blast occurred in Nowshera area of the district, resulting in injuring of four soldiers including a lieutenant, Indian police said. »

Jammu, January 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred three Kashmiri youth in Rajouri district.

The troops martyred the youth during a cordon and search operation at Khari Thrayat in Nowshera area of the district. The operation launched by the troops on Tuesday was going on till last reports came in.

Earlier, two Indian soldiers identified as Naik Sawant Sandip Raghu Nath and Rifleman Arjun Magar were killed in an attack in the same area on Tuesday night.

Meanwhile, Indian police during a house raid arrested a youth in Gund area of Ganderbal district.

Indian troops came under attack when they launched a cordon and search operation at Khari Thrayat in Nowshera area of the district. Two soldiers were killed in the attack.

New Delhi, December 16 (KMS): Four public buses and two police vehicles were torched during clashes between protesters and police near Jamia Millia Islamia in New Delhi during a demonstration against the controversial Citizenship Act, leaving at least 60 persons, including students, policemen and fire fighters injured, officials said.

The police used batons and teargas shells to disperse the protesters and entered the Jamia university campus, detaining several students. A Jamia students’ body accused the police of high-handedness. »

Day will be marked with shutdown across occupied Kashmir

Srinagar, December 09 (KMS): The World Human Rights Day will be observed in occupied Kashmir, tomorrow, as Black Day to draw the attention of the international community towards the worsening human rights situation in the territory.

Call for observance of the day has been given by the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani. The day is celebrated annually across the world on 10 December every year to honour the United Nations General Assembly’s adoption and proclamation, on 10 December 1948, of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), the first global enunciation of human rights and one of the first major achievements of the new United Nations.

The day will be marked with complete shutdown across occupied Jammu and Kashmir to convey to the world community that the lingering Kashmir dispute awaits its active and effective intervention to stop blatant human rights violations by India and to settle the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the relevant UN resolutions. »

Routine life remains badly affected on 117th day

Srinagar, November 29 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, people held forceful demonstrations across central, north and south Kashmir, today, to show their resentment against the Indian occupation.

As the Juma congregational prayers culminated, people took to the streets in Srinagar, Badgam, Ganderbal, Islamabad, Pulwama, Kulgam, Shopian, Bandipora, Baramulla, Kupwara and other areas of the occupied territory. The protesters shouted high-pitched pro-freedom and anti-India slogans. Indian troops and police personnel used brute forces against the demonstrators at many places, injuring several of them. The occupation authorities did not allow Juma prayers at Srinagar’s historic Jamia Masjid and other main mosques of the Kashmir Valley on 17th consecutive week since 5th August. »

‘India plans to eliminate Yasin Malik, other Hurriyat leaders’

Islamabad, November 29 (KMS): The Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, today, held a protest demonstration outside the National Press Club in Islamabad against the continued lockdown in occupied Kashmir and illegal detention of Hurriyat leaders including party Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik.

Central leaders of JKLF, Hafiz Mohammad Anwar Samavi, Khawaja Saifuddin and Saleem Haroon led the demonstration while other leaders and activists of the organization as well as leaders of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Kashmiris and a large number of members of the society participated in it.

The protesters shouted slogans in favour of Kashmir liberation, Muhammad Yasin Malik and other illegally detained leaders. »
