Srinagar, March 01 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Hurriyat forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has termed the fresh wave of NIA raids on the residences of Hurriyat leaders as a well-thought-out plan to malign and implicate leadership in false cases and discredit the Kashmiris’ ongoing freedom movement.

A forum spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar condemned the occupation authorities for stopping the Mirwaiz from addressing media men and placing him under house arrest since Wednesday. He said that such repressive measures would not be able to cow down the leadership. »

Srinagar, February 26 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops launched cordon and search operations in South Kashmir’s Kulgam and Shopian districts, today.

According to Kashmir Media service, the troops launched an operation in Matalhama village in Qaimoh area of Kulgam district. The operation was going on when the last reports came in.

The troops also launched a similar operation in Rawalpora area of Shopian district. The troops sealed all entry and exit points of the area and conducted door-to-door searches. More details are awaited.

Srinagar, February 24 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred three youth in Kulgam district, today.

The youth were killed during a cordon and search operation launched by Indian army, paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force and Special Operation Group of police in Tarigam area of the district. »

New Delhi, February 23 (KMS): The government of India has ordered the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) to urgently deploy 100 companies in occupied Kashmir.

The Indian ministry of Home Affairs a letter said, “We have to urgently deploy additional CAPFs in Jammu and Kashmir. It is requested to provide 100 coys of CAPFs (CRPF-45, BSF-35, SSB-10 & ITBP-10) to Govt. of J&K with immediate effect and till further orders. IG (Ops), CRPF is requested to ensure immediate movement of Forces in coordination with IG (Ops) of all Forces.” However, the Indian government refrained from giving specific reasons for the deployment. »

India to deploy 100 additional companies of troops

Srinagar, February 23 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian police and troops have launched a massive crackdown arresting over 150 people including pro-freedom leaders and activists.

Indian police took the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik, into custody after raiding his Maisuma residence in Srinagar and lodged him at Kothibagh police station.

Indian troops and police arrested dozens of leaders and activists of Jamaat-e-Islami of the occupied territory from their residences during nocturnal raids across the occupied territory. Those arrested included JI Ameer, Dr Abdul Hamid Fayaz, Advocate Zahid Ali, Ghulam Qadir Lone, Abdur Rauf, Mudassir Ahmed, Abdul Salam, Bakhtawar Ahmed, Muhammad Hayat, Bilal Ahmed and Ghulam Muhammad Dar. »

Srinagar, February 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops launched cordon and search operations in Shopian and Samba districts.

The troops cordoned off Sugan area of the district and started door-to-door searches, causing huge inconvenience to the local people. The operation was later called off.

Meanwhile, the troops also conducted a massive siege and search operation in Manohar Gopala area of Samba district. Earlier in last, the troops had carried out similar operation in the area for two days in Basantar in Ramgarh areas of the district.

Srinagar, January 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops have launched massive cordon and search operations in Samba, Pulwama and Kulgam districts.

The massive search operation by the troops continued on the second consecutive day, today (Wednesday), in Basantar and several other areas of Ramgarh in Jammu ahead of Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s visit to the occupied territory on February 3.

The troops also conducted door-to-door searches during continued massive cordon operation in Aglar area of Pulwama district. The troops sealed all the entry and exit points of the area.

Meanwhile, the Indian forces also continued similar operations in Damhal-Hanjipora and Yaripora areas of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
