Srinagar, June 01 (KMS): Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) on Tuesday held protest demonstrations across the Kashmir Valley against Indian Hindu Yoga guru Ramdev for his controversial remarks over allopathy.

Health workers and doctors today held protest demos across all the districts of the Valley. The protesting doctors and health workers, while speaking to media persons, said Ramdev has no right to speak ill of allopathy and demanded an unconditional apology from the Yoga Guru.

In a widely shared video last week, Ramdev is heard saying at an event that lakhs of people have died because of allopathic medicines, far more than those who died because they did not get treatment or oxygen. He also called modern medical treatments ‘stupid’.

Doctors across India observed “Black Day” today in protest against Ramdev’s remarks.

Islamabad, May 28 (KMS): The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter organized a demonstration outside the National Press Club, Islamabad, today, against the Indian brutalities in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Addressing on the occasion, APHC-AJK leaders deplored that Indian troops had made the life of the people of IIOJK miserable. They said that the troops were killing innocent Kashmiri youth on daily basis and this killing spree was continuing unabated.

The Hurriyat leaders said by killing the youth, India cannot suppress the freedom sentiment of the Kashmiri people. They said the unrelenting military siege and corona lock-down have aggravated the humanitarian crisis in the occupied territory. They said that India must realize the fact that the delay in the resolution of the Kashmir dispute was leading New Delhi to destruction.

The Hurriyat leaders said that for the last over 73 years in General and during the last three decades in particular, India was trying to suppress the Kashmiris’ freedom struggle through military might on one hand, and was hatching conspiracies to change the demographic composition of the territory on the other.

The APHC-AJK leaders expressed serious concern over the Indian atrocities on the people of IIOJK. They appealed to the world community to take cognizance of the grave human rights violations being perpetrated by Indian troops in the occupied territory and play role in the resolution of the Kashmir dispute by giving the Kashmiris their inalienable right to self-determination.

Noida, May 28 (KMS): A group of farmers protesting against the central farm laws on Friday staged a demonstration at the Jewar toll plaza,  disrupting traffic movement on the Yamuna Expressway.

The farmers belonging to the Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) had reached Jewar in Gautam Buddh Nagar on Thursday with an objective to stage the demonstration as part of their plan to carry out similar protests at some other toll plazas in western Uttar Pradesh.

According to police officials, some of the protesters, including a local leader of the group, were taken to the Jewar police station around midnight.

“They were brought to the station for a dialogue. We had requested them to call off the protest and vacate the toll plaza but they were reluctant to recede,” SHO, Jewar police station, Umesh Singh, told reporters.

The protesters went back from the police station after some time and carried on with their demonstration that continued on Friday morning also with them occupying two lanes of the Yamuna Expressway, according to officials.

“The Jewar toll plaza is open for vehicular movement. Only two lanes are blocked because of the farmers’ protest,” a Traffic Police official said. After observing ‘Black Day’ on May 26, the BKU, which has been demanding the repeal of the three new central farm laws since November 2020, has intensified its protest in parts of Uttar Pradesh since Thursday.

“Members of the farmers union are staging protest at five toll plazas in western Uttar Pradesh. These toll plazas are located in Gautam Buddh Nagar, Meerut, Amroha, Moradabad and Muzaffarnagar,” BKU media in-charge Dharmendra Malik said.

According to One India, supporters of the BKU, led by Rakesh Tikait, have been camping at Ghazipur on the Delhi-UP border since November 2020 with a demand that the Centre repeal the three contentious farm laws brought in last year.

The farmers claim that these laws would hurt their livelihood and leave them at the mercy of corporations. The government, which has held multiple rounds of official dialogue with the protestors, has maintained that the laws are pro-farmer.

The protestors, carrying placards, sought explanation from the Indian BJP leadership for loss of precious lives due to corona pandemic as well as for raging inflation and growing unemployment.

Addressing the media, Harsh Dev Singh squarely held the Indian BJP rule responsible for the catastrophe that had struck India. Not only had all-pervasive corona terrified the masses but its fall out in the form of deadly diseases like black fungus, white fungus, yellow fungus, septic etc had made the situation worse.

He said the fast spiralling prices of petrol, diesel, LPG, pulses, vegetables, cooking oil etc had multiplied the woes and sufferings of the marginalized sections. Asserting that the BJP government had failed on multiple fronts, Harsh Dev Singh said that it had lost the right to rule especially in the wake of prevalent situation created due to massive avoidable deaths, growing unemployment and raging inflation.

Meanwhile, Asha workers of Rajouri district held a strong protest demonstration at district headquarters, demanding release of their pending wages of two months. Maintaining that they are facing starvation, the workers said that they were protesting outside the office of Chief Medical Officer, Rajouri, for the last two days but have remained unheard by the administration.

ASHA workers of Langate block of Kupwara also staged a protest against the administration for its failure in addressing their demands.

The protesting workers said that they had been rendering their services for almost a decade now without getting regular and adequate salary.

They said that besides their overburdened assignments, their services were being utilised to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic with a meagre remuneration of Rs 1000.

“We want the administration to increase our remuneration so that we can fulfill our basic needs,” they said.

India’s false narrative on Kashmir falling down: Fahim Kayani

London, May 22 (KMS): On the call of Tehreek-e-Kashmir UK, British Kashmiris and Pakistanis staged protests, held digital campaigns and programs in various cities across Britain to pay tributes to the victims of Hawal massacre and other martyrs of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

uring Friday sermons in mosques across the UK, Ulema and Khateebs strongly condemned the killing of 70 unarmed Kashmiris by Indian troops on May 21 in 1990.

Tehreek-e-Kashmir UK launched a digital campaign to highlight the suffering of the people of IIOJK. The digital campaign was launched from outside the Indian High Commission in London and the demonstrators raised slogans including “Stop India’s demographic terrorism in IIOJK”, “End Indian Colonisation of Kashmir”, “India criminalises Press freedom in Kashmir”, “Hold India accountable for war crimes in Kashmir” and “Release all political prisoners”.

Fahim Kayani, the President of Tehreek-e-Kashmir UK, said the digital van, public mobilisation in the shape of protests, seminars and rallies is very important to keep the Kashmir cause for right to self-determination alive. It is aimed at exposing the true face of the brutal Indian regime in front of the world, he said.

“India’s false narrative on Kashmir has been rejected by the international community,” Kayani said, adding that the public opinion was moulding in favour of Kashmiris as dozens of articles have been written against BJP-RSS regime led by Modi who is attempting to change the demography of Kashmir and also committing unabated human rights violations through ruthless Indian Army.

Fahim Kayani added that the Indian troops enjoy impunity under the so-called Armed Forces Special Powers Act which give kill and catch license to them and that’s why not a single Indian soldier has been punished so far despite committing heinous crimes such as Hawal massacre. AFSPA is a black and extra-judicial law, he noted.

Fahim Kayani said that the international community, especially the UN, the OIC and the International Court of Justice (ICJ) must hold India accountable for its war crimes in Kashmir. He said permanent peace in South Asia cannot be achieved without resolving the Kashmir dispute.

Tehreek-e-Kashmir led protests and conferences were held in London, Reading, Bolton, Glasgow, Bradford, Birmingham, Oldham, Nelson and other cities of the UK.

While addressing the protestors outside the Indian Consulate in Birmingham Muhammad Ghalib, President of Tehreek-e-Kashmir Europe; Maulana Fazal Ahmed Qadri, Patron in Chief of All Parties International Kashmir Coordination Committee; and Khawajah Muhammad Suleman, Director of Kashmir Information and Research Center Birmingham maintained that the sacrifices of Kashmiris will be not be forgotten and “we will continue raise our voices against India’s illegal occupation of Kashmir.”

The four member delegation of Stop the War Coalition led by Secretary General, Stuart Richardson, participated in the protest outside the Indian Consulate Birmingham and expressed solidarity with the oppressed people of IIOJK. Stuart Richardson condemned the atrocities being committed by Indian troops against the innocent Kashmiris.

While addressing the protesters in Glasgow, Syed Tufail Hussain Shah, Patron-in-Chief of TeK UK, said, Indian fascist regime is a threat not only to the existence of Kashmir but the whole world.

Hafiz Muhammad Azad, Secretary General of TeK UK during Friday sermon said, “India and Israel are sinners in arms which use same policies in subjugating and oppressing the voices which seek complete end to their occupation.”

Raja Muhammad Nazir Johar, President of TeK London and Raja Abdul Qayoum, Senior Vice President of TeK London led the protest outside the Indian High Commission in London. Haji Chaudhry Muhammad Yasin, President TeK Nelson, and Engineer Muhammad Yousaf, President TeK South Zone led the protest in Nelson.

Chaudhry Shezad Majeed, Youth Coordinator TeK UK, during Kashmir Digital campaign launching event in London said, “As long as Modi stays in the power, it can trigger a nuclear war between India and Pakistan, so the world must understand that their businesses and consumer market are under threat, and they must immediately intervene and resolve the Kashmir dispute.”

Rehana Ali, Information Secretary of TeK UK, called upon the United Nations to help release all detainees, especially political prisoners, and human rights defenders in IIOJK, and repeal draconian laws such as Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) and Public Safety Act (PSA).

Mufti Nasser Ullah Naqshbandi organized a Kashmir event in Bolton, Raja Arif Kayani senior Vice President TeK South Zone, organized a Kashmir event in Reading, Mulana Shafiq-ur-Rehman senior leader TeK UK, organized a Kashmir event in Oldham while Muhammad Qamar Abbas President TeK Birmingham, organized a Kashmir event in Alumrock Birmingham.

Srinagar, May 21 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Juma prayers could not be held, today, at Srinagar’s historic Jamia Masjid and several main mosques, dargahs and imambargahs of the territory due to the restrictions imposed by the authorities.

The occupation authorities intensified curfew and other restrictions across the occupied territory, today, to prevent people from conducting a march towards Mazar-e-Shuhada at Eidgah in Srinagar and holding prayer meetings.

Call for the march and prayer meetings was given by the Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, to pay tributes to prominent martyred Hurriyat leaders, Mirwaiz Molvi Muhammad Farooq and Khawaja Abdul Ghani Lone, as well as the martyrs of Hawal massacre on their martyrdom anniversaries.

However, due to severe restrictions, Juma prayers could not be held at historic Jamia Masjid, Dargah Hazratbal and other main mosques, dargahs and imambargahs in Srinagar and other areas of the occupied territory.

Mirwaiz Molvi Muhammad Farooq was assassinated by the agents of Indian agencies after barging into his residence in Srinagar on this day in 1990. Seventy mourners were killed when Indian troops opened fire on his funeral procession in Hawal area of the city. Khawaja Abdul Ghani Lone was also killed on this day in 2002 by the agents of Indian agencies when he was returning from Eidgah after addressing a public gathering.
