Islamabad, February 08 (KMS): The speakers in a seminar held in Islamabad Club have expressed serious concern over the human rights violations by Indian troop in occupied Kashmir.

The Chairman of Senate Standing Committee on Defence Production, Lt General (Retd) Abdul Qayyum in his address said, the Draconian laws in occupied Kashmir and the atrocities of the Indian forces require the international community to take action against the human rights violations in the territory. »

Islamabad, January 05 (KMS): A seminar was held under the auspices of the All Parties Hurriyet Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir chapter (APHC-AJK) in Islamabad, today, to mark the passing of a resolution on Kashmir by the UN on this day in 1949. The resolution has called for settling the Kashmir dispute by giving the Kashmiris their inalienable right to self-determination.

The speakers on the occasion highlighted the importance of the UN resolutions on Kashmir and said that the January 5, 1949 resolution of the World Body provided base to the Kashmiris’ struggle as it had acknowledged the right to self-determination of Kashmiri people. »

Islamabad, January 01 (KMS): Speakers at a seminar in Islamabad have said that India has created a war-like situation on the Line of Control to distract the attention of international community from its state terrorism in occupied Kashmir.

The seminar on Prevailing Situation in occupied Kashmir, Role of Media and Our Responsibilities’ was organized by Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League in Islamabad. A resolution adopted on the occasion expressed solidarity with the Kashmiri people, who are offering tremendous sacrifices for their right to self-determination. The resolution urged the representatives of print and electronic media to play their role in projecting the sufferings of the Kashmiri people at the international level. »

Srinagar, December 11 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, as bureaucrats and top government officials assembled at Kashmir International Conference Centre in Srinagar to discuss human rights in connection with the international human rights day, a victim family who was denied entry protested outside the venue.

The event that was organized by Human Rights Commission of the territory was attended by hundreds of guests mostly from the puppet administration including pullet Law Minister, Abdul Haq Khan, Inspector General Police, Munir Ahmad Khan, Director General of Police, SP Vaid and Divisional commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan. »

APPG to start parliamentary enquiry on HR abuses in IOK

London, October 26 (KMS): Jammu and Kashmir Self-Determination Movement International (JKSDMI) in collaboration with the Pakistani High Commission in London organised a Kashmir conference in the British Parliament.

The conference chaired by Barrister Imran Hussain, MP and Vice Chairman of All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Kashmir in the British Parliament, was attended by more than 20 parliamentarians of both Houses and all parties. Special guests were Executive Director of Kashmir Media Service, Sheikh Tajammul-ul-Islam and Pakistani Deputy High Commissioner, Zahid Hafeez. »
