London, February 05 (KMS): Former Norwegian Prime Minister, Kjell Magne Bondevik, has emphasized that the Kashmir dispute should be high on the agenda of the international community and resolution of this dispute should be a priority for all.

Kjell Magne Bondevik said this while talking to Pakistan Foreign Minister, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, during a meeting in London.

The former Norwegian Prime Minister reiterated that there was no military solution to the Kashmir dispute and that peaceful and meaningful dialogue was the only way forward. He reaffirmed his commitment for the resolution of the lingering dispute in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

Bondevik welcomed the initiatives such as the International Conference on Jammu and Kashmir. »

London, February 05 (KMS): Pakistan Foreign Minister, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, has said that Pakistan will continue its support to the Kashmiris’ just struggle for securing their inalienable right to self-determination.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi addressing an international conference in London said Kashmir is the oldest dispute on the UN agenda. He said Indian rulers have been denying plebiscite in Kashmir as promised by their predecessors. He said India is using different tactics to change the demographic composition of occupied Kashmir. »

Srinagar, January 05 (KMS): Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control and the world over observed the Right to Self-determination Day, today, to remind the world community that the UN resolutions on Kashmir remain unimplemented even after the passage of more than six decades.

On this day in 1949, the United Nations Security Council adopted a resolution, acknowledging the Kashmiris’ right of self-determination. However, it is unfortunate that the World Body has so far failed to implement its resolutions, resulting in the continued sufferings of the Kashmiri people.

Islamabad, November 20 (KMS): The Vice President of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party, Mehmood Ahmed Saghar, has expressed serious concern over the arrest spree unleashed by Indian forces in occupied Kashmir.

Mehmood Ahmed Saghar in a statement in Islamabad said, “Kashmiri youth are being pushed to the wall. Under the garb of operation ‘All Out’ educated youth are being targeted by the Indian forces’ personnel in every nook and corner of the Valley,” he said. “This has created an atmosphere of fear and uncertainty in the territory,” he added. »

Srinagar, November 06 (KMS): Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control and world over are observing the Jammu Martyrs’ Day, today, to reaffirm the pledge to continue the mission of their martyrs till the realization of their inalienable right to self-determination.

The forces of Maharaja Hari Singh, Indian army and Hindu extremists massacred hundreds of thousands of Kashmiris in different parts of Jammu region while they were migrating to Pakistan during the first week of November in 1947. »

Srinagar, October 26 (KMS): Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control and the world over will observe Black Day, tomorrow, the 27th October, to convey to the world that India has occupied Jammu and Kashmir against their will and is denying them their inalienable right to self-determination.

On 27th October in 1947 Indian troops had invaded Jammu and Kashmir and occupied it in total violation of the Partition Plan of the Subcontinent and against the Kashmiris’ aspirations. »

Srinagar, August 15 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Pakistani flags were hoisted at many places in the Kashmir Valley to mark 14th August, the Independence Day of Pakistan.

Pakistan’s Independence Day was celebrated in various areas including Shopian, Bijbehara and Kulgam. Pakistani flag was hoisted at these places by the people singing the national anthem of the Pakistan. Mini-parades were also held on this occasion.

Pakistani flag was hoisted in Barzulla area of Srinagar while in the evening people burst fire-crackers at Nowhatta in downtown Srinagar to celebrate Pakistan’s Independence Day. »

Gilani, Sehrai, Malik, other Hurriyat leaders detained

Srinagar, August 15 (KMS): Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control and the world over are observing the Indian Independence Day, today, as Black Day to convey the message to the international community that India continues to illegally occupy their homeland.

The Black Day is being marked by a complete strike in the occupied territory, call for which has been given by the Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik. All shops, business establishments, offices and petrol pumps are closed while traffic is off the road. »
