Srinagar, October 26 (KMS): Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control and the world over will observe Black Day, tomorrow, the 27th October, to convey to the world that India has occupied Jammu and Kashmir against their will and is denying them their inalienable right to self-determination.

On 27th October in 1947 Indian troops had invaded Jammu and Kashmir and occupied it in total violation of the Partition Plan of the Subcontinent and against the Kashmiris’ aspirations. »

Srinagar, August 15 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Pakistani flags were hoisted at many places in the Kashmir Valley to mark 14th August, the Independence Day of Pakistan.

Pakistan’s Independence Day was celebrated in various areas including Shopian, Bijbehara and Kulgam. Pakistani flag was hoisted at these places by the people singing the national anthem of the Pakistan. Mini-parades were also held on this occasion.

Pakistani flag was hoisted in Barzulla area of Srinagar while in the evening people burst fire-crackers at Nowhatta in downtown Srinagar to celebrate Pakistan’s Independence Day. »

Gilani, Sehrai, Malik, other Hurriyat leaders detained

Srinagar, August 15 (KMS): Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control and the world over are observing the Indian Independence Day, today, as Black Day to convey the message to the international community that India continues to illegally occupy their homeland.

The Black Day is being marked by a complete strike in the occupied territory, call for which has been given by the Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik. All shops, business establishments, offices and petrol pumps are closed while traffic is off the road. »

Srinagar, August 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Syed Ali Gilani has extended his heartiest felicitations to the people and the government of Pakistan on the their Independence Day.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement in Srinagar said the people of Kashmir are highly grateful to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan for extending its wholehearted moral, political and diplomatic support to just Kashmir cause and struggle since 1947. »

Call for observance of the day was been given by the Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik. A resolution drafted by the JRL and calling for an end to military occupations in Kashmir and Palestine was presented and adopted in almost all mosques, shrines and imambargahs across the territory during Juma congregational prayers. »

A resolution calling for an end to military occupations in Kashmir and Palestine will be presented in all mosques, shrines and imambargahs across the territory during Juma congregational prayers. The resolution urges the world to take serious notice of the brutalities perpetrated by the Indian and Israeli occupation forces in Kashmir and Palestine.

Srinagar, May 16 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Martyrdom Week commenced, today, to mark the martyrdom anniversaries of prominent liberation leaders, Mirwaiz Molvi Muhammad Farooq, Khawaja Abdul Ghani Lone, and martyrs of Hawal.

A large number of people attended the functions of the recitation of Holy Quran that were held at headquarters and other offices of the forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Awami Action Committee (AAC) in Srinagar and other towns. Special prayers were offered for Mirwaiz Molvi Muhammad Farooq, Khawaja Abdul Ghani Lone and martyrs of Hawal. »

Srinagar, April 25 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League, headed by illegally detained senior APHC leader Masarrat Aalam Butt, celebrated its foundation day, the other day.

A meeting of JKML office-bearers was held in Srinagar with its acting Chairman Abdul Ahad Parra in the chair. A JKML spokesman in a statement said that a resolution was adopted on the occasion, demanding settlement of the Kashmir dispute through implementation of the UN resolutions. »

Srinagar, April 13 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, rich tributes were paid to five people including a woman who were martyred in the firing of Indian forces on protesters in Handwara town in April 2016.

Forceful demonstrations had erupted in the town after an Indian soldier had attempted to molest a schoolgirl. Five people, Nayeem Ahmed Butt, Muhammad Iqbal, Raja Begum, Aasif Hussain and Jahangir Ahmed Wani were killed in the firing of the troops on the protesters. »

Islamabad, April 06 (KMS): Kashmir Solidarity Day was observed, today, across the country to condemn the ongoing Indian state terrorism in occupied Kashmir and to express support to the Kashmiris in their just struggle for securing their inalienable right to self-determination.

The decision to observe the Solidarity Day was taken by the Federal Cabinet at its meeting held in Islamabad under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi following the killing of innocent people by the Indian troops in occupied Kashmir on Sunday. »
