Srinagar, February 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown will be observed, tomorrow, to mark the sixth martyrdom anniversary of Kashmiri youth, Muhammad Afzal Guru.

Call for the shutdown has been given by the Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik to press the demand for the handing over of the mortal remains of Muhammad Afzal Guru and renowned Kashmiri liberation leader, Muhammad Maqbool Butt, from New Delhi’s Tihar Jail to occupied Kashmir for decent burial. »

Srinagar, February 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders have paid rich tributes to the youth martyred by Indian troops in Pulwama district.

The youth Irfan Ahmed Shaikh was martyred by the troops during a cordon and search operation at Chakoora in Litter area of the district on Wednesday.

The Chairman of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai in a statement issued in Srinagar expressed solidarity with the family of martyred Irfan Sheikh. He said the unresolved Kashmir dispute has been a greatest tragedy ranging from a huge death toll, political repression, forced disappearances, a devastated economy, serious environmental damage, massive military buildup, severe psychological distress, torture and suppression of basic freedoms by Indian troops in occupied Kashmir for the past several decades. »

Srinagar, January 29 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference (JKMC) has paid glowing tributes to all Kashmiri martyrs particularly those laid down their lives during the year 2018.

Srinagar, January 25 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders have paid
rich tributes to youth recently martyred in Budgam ,Shopian and Barramulla by Indian forces personnel and said all these martyrs conveyed a message that they will never surrender despite all atrocities and excesses perpetrated by the forces on them.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Mushtaq-ul-Islam in a statement issued in Srinagar hailed the commitment and steadfastness illustrated by these youth and said, “The blood of innocent people has flowed in Kashmir continuously and forces have broken all-time records of oppression in Kashmir.” »

Islamabad, January 08 (KMS): An extraordinary meeting of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter was held in Islamabad, today.

Srinagar, January 07 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders have continued to pay tributes to the victims of Sopore massacre, which was carried out by the Indian Border Security Force personnel on January 6, 1993.

The BSF personnel had gone on a killing rampage after an unknown person allegedly snatched a riffle from a soldier. Besides killing over 60 Kashmiris, more than 400 structures including residential houses and shops were also gutted after the Indian soldiers set the town ablaze.

A delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League led by its acting Chairman Abdul Ahad Parra and comprising Molvi Rafique and other party activists visited the martyrs’ graveyard and offered Fateha for the martyrs. »
