Srinagar, June 21 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Mahaz-e-Azadi led by its President, Muhammad Iqbal Mir, visited Achbal area of Islamabad district and expressed solidarity with the family of a martyred youth, Nasir Ahmed.

The dead body of Nasir Ahmad with bullet marks was found near a house destroyed by Indian troops during a cordon and search operation at Badoora in Achabal area of the district on June 17. »

Srinagar, June 21 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders and organizations have paid glowing tributes to prominent Islamic scholar, Qazi Nisar Ahmed, on his martyrdom anniversary saying that his contribution on religious and social fronts can never be forgotten.

Qazi Nisar was shot dead by unknown gunmen on June 19 in 1994 in Bun Dialgan area of Islamabad district. »

Srinagar, May 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Awami Action Committee (AAC), headed by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, has paid rich tributes to prominent Kashmir intellectual, Ambassador Muhammad Yousuf Buch, who passed away in New York, a few days ago.

The ACC held a condolence meeting at its headquarters at Mirwaiz Manzil, Rajouri Kadal, in Srinagar said that Ambassador Buch was a close aide of Muhajir-e-Milat, Mufasir-e-Quran Maulana Muhammad Yousuf Shah (RA). It said, the deceased played a pivotal role towards the Kashmiris’ struggle for right to self-determination and deserved richest tributes for his great contributions that will always be remembered. »

Mirwaiz Molvi Muhammad Farooq was shot dead by unidentified gunmen at his residence in Srinagar on 21st of May in 1990. More than 70 mourners were killed in Hawal area of the city when Indian troops opened fire on his funeral procession. On the same day, in 2002, Khawaja Abdul Ghani Lone was killed by unknown assailants when he was returning from Eidgah after addressing a public gathering. »
