The Hurriyat leaders in their joint statement in Srinagar strongly condemned the use of pellets and bullets on peaceful protesters in which more than dozens got serious injuries. »

Resistance leaders denounce killing of youth by troops

Srinagar, July 22 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown was observed in Beerwah town and its adjoining areas in Budgam district, today, to protest against the killing of a youth in Indian Army’s firing.

The youth, Tanveer Ahmad Wani, a young tailor, was shot dead by army personnel during protests in Beerwah town, yesterday. All shops and other business establishments remained closed in the town, Khag and Aripanthan areas, today, to mourn the killing of the youth. The occupation authorities had imposed strict restrictions and sealed all entry and exit points of Beerwah town to prevent people from staging demonstrations against the killing.

Complete strike was also observed in Zirpora area of Bijbehara – the home town of puppet Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti – against the desecration of a mosque and other atrocities by Indian forces. The forces’ personnel had damaged windowpanes of Shahi Masjid in the area, last evening. »

Srinagar, July 20 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders and organizations have paid rich tributes to martyrs Parvaiz Ahmad Mir of Pulwama and Mudasir Ahmad Hajam of Kokernag who embraced martyrdom at Tral recently.

A Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front delegation comprising Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi, Javed Ghazi Butt, Khizar Muhammad Dawoodi, Tariq Ahmad and Molvi Nazir Ahmad visited Noderbigh Chak Pulwama while another delegation comprising Muhammad Ishaaq Ganai, Muhammad Akram Khan and Nazir Ahmad Khan visited Kokernag and expressed solidarity with the bereaved families. »

Srinagar, July 18 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani has paid rich tributes to three youth martyred by Indian troops in Nowgam, Islamabad.

Syed Ali Gilani, who is under house detention in Srinagar, telephonically addressed the mourners at Dialgam, Islamabad. He said that the haughty approach and wrong policies of India has created mayhem and is continuously instigating bloodshed in Kashmir. »

Srinagar, July 18 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders and organizations while paying tributes to the martyred youth have condemned Indian authorities for unrelenting barbarism in the territory.

The Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) Secretary General Abdullah Tari has said the uncertainty in Jammu Kashmir is detrimental to even India and Delhi’s huge expenditure on Kashmir could be utilized on India’s development. He made these remarks while extending the message of party Chairman Shabir Ahmad Shah to the bereaved families of Ameerabad, Tral and Pulwama. Tari, who was accompanied by Manzoor Ahmad Butt, Muhammad Yousuf Mir, Javaid Ahmad, Ghulam Muhammad, and other activists, expressed condolence with the bereaved families of martyrs. »

Syed Ali Gilani in his statement said the mission of the 1931 martyrs remains unfinished and the ongoing freedom struggle is a chain of the mission commenced in 1931. “So, the best way of paying tributes to the martyrs of 1931 is that we should continue our struggle till the goal of right to self-determination is achieved,” he said. »
