Empowers admin to impose property tax

New Delhi, October 09 (KMS): The Indian government has amended two municipal laws of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir to empower administration to levy and collect property tax.

The amendments, carried out in Jammu & Kashmir Municipal Act-2000 and Jammu & Kashmir Municipal Corporation Act-2000, property tax shall be levied on all lands and buildings or vacant lands or both situated within the municipal area. »

Srinagar, October 08 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Hurriyat forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has reiterated its call to release of all illegally detained Hurriyat leaders and activists languishing in different jails of India and the territory.

Hurriyat forum in a statement issued in Srinagar said that thousands of Kashmiris including Hurriyat leaders and activists were languishing in different Indian jails. It said the Kashmiri detainees are neither being presented in courts nor are any legal proceedings initiated. »

Srinagar, October 08 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Tehreek-e-Wahdat-e-Islami (TWI), a constituent of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC), has said that Narendra Modi’s fascist Indian government has launched a series of large-scale colonial measures to convert the Muslim majority in the territory into a minority.

The spokesman of Tehreek-e-Wahdat-e-Islami in a statement issued in Srinagar said that it was the responsibility of the United Nations and the international community to take notice of the vicious Indian actions in the occupied territory. »

New Delhi, October 07 (KMS): In another move to further the Hindutva agenda and deprive illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir of its Muslim heritage, culture and identity, the Modi-led fascist Indian government issued a second notification, extending 11 laws to the occupied territory.

This marks the second round of application of Indian laws in IIOJK since the abrogation of Article 370. Earlier on 19 March, the Modi regime had extended the first set of 38 laws to the territory. »

Srinagar, October 07 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference General Secretary Moulvi Bashir Ahmad had deplored the silence of the United Nations over the rising Indian state terrorism in the territory.

Moulvi Bashir Ahmad in a statement in Srinagar, today, urged the world body to stand for the right of the Kashmiri people who have been facing political injustice at the hands of India for the past seven decades. While condemning the killings, he asked the World Body to come forward and play its role in resolving the Kashmir dispute to put an end to the vicious cycle of the killing of unarmed people in the occupied territory. »
