Srinagar, March 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Hurriyat forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has expressed serious concern over the plight of the Kashmiri political prisoners lodged in different jails in and outside the Kashmir Valley.

Srinagar, February 26 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, India-appointed Interlocutor, Dineshwar Sharma has urged his government to hold talks with Pakistan to end hostility along the Line of Control.

Sharma in a media interview in Srinagar said, “The current hostility at the border is a serious problem. I am not going to speak to Pakistan. It is the government of the day which has to do the talking.”

Dineshwar Sharma said he has been visiting Kashmir to hold ‘peace talks’ with the stakeholders. “I am talking to Kashmiris. The government (of India) has to talk to Pakistan,” he demanded. »

Srinagar, February 23 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Joint Resistance leadership (JRL) comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik have demanded of the UN to investigate Kunanposhpora mass rape and other such incidents through its War Crimes Tribunal to punish the involved Indian troops.

The JRL in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the Kunanposhpora episode was a glaring example of Indian state terrorism and fascism in occupied Kashmir.

The JRL leaders termed the Kunanposhpora mass rape as the most reprehensible crime against humanity. They said that shielding of the culprits involved in the Kunanposhpora and Kathua rape and murder cases was a slap to democracy. »

Srinagar, February 20 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Executive Body of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference today held a meeting in Srinagar under the chair of its Secretary General Ghulam Nabi Sumji and participants reviewed and discussed the prevailing grim situation in the territory including increasing human rightist abuses.

Indian troops martyr mentally-challenged man

Srinagar, February 19 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani has said that India and its puppet authorities are making a mockery of every democratic norm by choking all peaceful means of protests on the people of Kashmir.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar terming the role of ruling Peoples’ Democratic Party as filthy, deceitful and sorrowful, said that the party gained votes on ‘Goli Nahi Boli’, ‘Release of Political Prisoners’, ‘Return of Power Projects’ and against RSS and its fanatical dogma and slogans, but later it betrayed the people and did absolutely contrary to all what they had promised during their election campaign. He said, people all over the world protest against excesses, but occupied Jammu and Kashmir is the only exception where peaceful protesters are showered with bullets, pellets and other deadly weapons. He deplored that the so-called civilian government was part of the autocratic behaviour of Indian forces. »

Srinagar, February 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders and organizations have paid glowing tributes to freedom leader, Ghulam Muhammad Bulla of Sopore on the eve of his 43rd martyrdom anniversary.

Ghulam Muhammad Bulla was arrested by the Indian police and killed in custody on February 15, 1975, for leading a protest rally against Indra-Abdullah Accord in Sopore. »

New Delhi, February 14 (KMS): In pursuit of hegemonic design in the region, India has decided to purchase huge weaponry worth Rs 160 billion on fast track.

The approval for the procurement of the weaponry was given at a meeting of the Defence Acquisition Council (DAC), the Defence Ministry’s highest decision making body on procurement. Capital acquisition would include 7.40 lakh assault rifles, 5,719 sniper rifles and light machine guns. »

Srinagar, February 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, unknown gunmen shot and killed an activist of All Parties Hurriyat Conference in Badgam district, today.
Mohammad Yousuf Nadeem, a resident of Sandipora village in central Kashmir’s Badgam district was shot and killed at Cherangam area of  Beerwah. Nadeem was currently affiliated with a constituent of All Parties Hurriyat Conference.
