Islamabad, August 11 (KMS): The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter held a seminar in Islamabad, today, to pay glowing tributes to senior Hurriyat leader, Sheikh Abdul Aziz, on his 12th martyrdom anniversary.

The seminar titled “Journey of Martyrdoms” was presided over by senior Hurriyat leader, Muhammad Farooq Rahmani, while the AJK Prime Minister, Raja Farooq Haider, was the chief guest.

Speakers on the occasion said that Sheikh Abdul Aziz sacrificed his life for the ideology of Pakistan and the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination. They said that Sheikh Abdul Aziz devoted his entire life to the Kashmir cause. »

Islamabad, August 11 (KMS): Foreign Minister, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, has written a letter of thanks to PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari over the opposition’s participation and assistance in legislation regarding FATF and Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir in the joint session of parliament, which was held on 6th of this month.

In the letter, the Foreign Minister said the ruling and opposition parties in the parliament have once again proved that all political parties in parliament have the same stance for protection of national interests. »

Islamabad, August 11 (KMS): Pakistan has strongly condemned extrajudicial killings of Kashmiris in fake encounters by Indian forces in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Srinagar August 10 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, bureaucrat-turned-politician, Shah Faesal quit politics, today, resigning from the Jammu and Kashmir People’s Movement (JKPM) that he founded last year after quitting the civil services.

The JKPM in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “Dr Shah Faesal had informed Executive Members of the party that he is not in a position to continue with political activities and wants to be freed from the responsibilities of the organization.” »

Washington, August 10 (KMS): International think-tank, International Crisis Group ICG) has asked India to rethink its approach to Kashmir and suggested restoration of statehood to Jammu and Kashmir as a way to calm down tensions.

The Modi-led fascist Indian government has repealed the special status of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and divided it into two union territories on August 5, last year.

The Modi government had announced in Parliament on August 5 and 6 that the UT status of J&K is not going to be permanent; its statehood would be restored as and when the situation became normal. »
